Just to clarify:

As veteran adventurers you can develop your racial abilities higher than most. You may pick a 2nd heritage ability.
Does this mean that we have the option of choosing another heritage trait once we reach Veteran? Or when we reach veteran, we automatically gain a second heritage trait?
As a veteran you can use XP to gain a 2nd heritage trait that doesn't count towards your trait max count

So no it is not automatic or free

Oh, but it doesn't count as a Trait selection? OK, that makes the second Human Heritage Trait go from pointless to extremely useful! Good to know!

Totally agree: Good to know!!

A general note on lanterns.
Unless you have a high end / specialty or magical lantern they are fairly basic and often use a thin animal hide that is treated to be translucent. This treated leather covers 3 sides of a lantern with the 4th being fully or partially open and exposed to allow it to be lit and shine brighter. This is more durable than glass which is much more expensive and prone to breaking the way adventurers handle it.

Lanterns provide dime light within 25' with it being a bit brighter and reaching further on its open face.

Just to point out to everyone. TinyD6 system keeps thing simple. So any ability only has an instantaneous effect or at most lasts 1 round unless explicitly stating otherwise. So most magics are limited to 2 effects (2 actions a round) per caster.

Rules says:
FAMILY TRADE
Growing up, you were probably exposed to a Family Trade. Perhaps you learned your way around a forge from your father, who was a smith. Maybe your mother was a weaver and taught you how to make and mend clothing. Whatever it was, you picked up some knowledge of this craft and gain Advantage in situations where you can put it to use. Choose some sort of Family Trade for your character; your Game Master will then decide how it will be applicable during gameplay.
[quote=Psybermagi
Your Trade is the thing your character grew up being exposed to or participating in. Is can be a profession, life style, or other general situation. While it grants advantage on things related to the trade it has more to do with knowledge, familiarity, and experience than actual skill and ability.
Ex a merchant trade would give advantage to understand how to make a deal that is advantageous but not necessarily give advantage to close the deal. That is Charisma, a trait.
Ex a street urchin trade mean you know how city underlife works and where a good hiding place might be but does not make you good at hiding in the moment or moving quietly. That would be Stealth, a trait.
