We can discuss any character related issues here.

Custom character sheet is below:

It's still a WIP so let me know if I've missed anything important. I'm not familiar with the game yet so this is just based on character sheets I've seen online.

That sheet looks pretty good. The only thought I have initially is could you embed the roll chart image under a spoiler tag, that way everyone can just open it up from any screen in this thread?

I found Gambit online here. Let me know if this works for the game.

I'm not sure what you mean.

Yeah, that seems right for standard 616 Gambit. If you want to tweak the stats some to reflect his life in the variant timeline that would be fine, but subject to approval.

Have you given any thought to how your character’s life/world/etc. is different?

Just in case anyone is curious, Gambit's official original sheet in the supplements.

I, uh... wasn't kidding when I said this was my game. I have all the original books and character supplements and most modules.

I'll give it some thought. Are we from any specific variant timeline? Or we can just choose anything?

It's mostly open to your ideas with one caveat that pertains to Nightcrawler and Magic off the top of my head, possibly Gambit if you want to go "New Sun". There will be a dimensional barrier preventing travel outside the confines of The Borough. Nightcrawler and Magik both teleport via travel through other dimensions. Normally they can go pretty much anywhere in the world, Magik can go to Realms inside the 616 dimension like Hell and stuff. They will still be able to enter those dimensions inside the area of The Borough, I'm not taking away those powers, just limiting them with Plot Power.

For our purposes, you will hit a wall when you try to leave the defined space of The Borough at least until you deal with that issue. Gambit's New Sun variant could propel himself across dimensions as well.

So don't build a character and expect to hop around all of reality until you deal with the BBEG's plans for "chapter 1" is the point I'm trying to get at.

I am thinking of Nightcrawler from the Age of Apocalypse universe.

Awesome. Loved that run.

The base stats on that character seem fine. I'm not sure about a few things. Time travel in teleporting may go away...going to have think about that as it could over complicate things.

Secondly...the magic she can do in Limbo might be too strong. It seems like Monstrous would be a good cap for everyone. However...if it's limited to while in Limbo it might be alright. I'd like to see more character sheets before we settle on a final version.

Agreed.

There are so many different takes on Magik from her many lives and the overall timeline.

To me, time travel is outside of the scope of what we're doing. I could be wrong. It is also very iffy with having to roll online to accomplish a positive result. I wouldn't want to have her suddenly taken out of the story because of a mishap.

Yeah, even a couple hours off track could end her adventure. You gotta figure if the BBEG can gather all these characters from multiple dimensions and timelines trapped here and modify their memories, they could probably easily recapture her if she accidentally removed herself from the timeline.

Ok, so I should probably elaborate a bit... this take on Cpt. America was essentially "What If... Sabretooth was Captain America?" The premise was that Victor Creed, who survived the Weapon X project (also based on the fact Creed has had an adamantium skeleton himself on two seperate occasions), was subsequently used in the Super Soldier project to become the icon America needed in World War 2.

Powers, stats, and talents are a bit of a hybridization between Sabretooth and Captain America, with the info from Wolverine's skeleton factored in.

Personality-wise, he's somewhere between Homelander and Punisher... in public, he's a boyscout. In combat... he's a soldier first and foremost. That means getting his hands dirty. He doesn't look to kill, but he wouldn't shy away from it if it was needed.

Ok gave it some thought overnight. I'm going to play Days of Future Past Gambit. He doesn't appear directly, so it gives me some flexibility. To reflect a timeline where most mutants are enslaved or killed by Sentinels, I think I will get rid of his emotional control and psy-screen abilities and enhance his physical stats to reflect mental trauma but the increased need for fighting and surviving. I don't know the math on swapping powers for attribute points, so let me know what is reasonable. I also found an image that I modified with the M tattoo he has in the DoFP timeline.

@nezzeraj, @MaJunior loving these concepts. I'm going to look over them some but all in all you're looking good.

Hi all! And thanks ZeroCool for having me.

I'll lean into the suggestion of the classic What If, with Jane Foster as Thordis. I'm thinking we can use a tuned-down version of Thor's published stats either straightaway, or start even lower if the idea is for Thordis to slowly regain her memory and therefore her powers.

I have several ideas, from simple to somewhat complicated

Simple:
-Old Man Logan
-Lady Deadpool

Complicated:
- The daughter of Wolverine and Squirrel Girl (they were a couple in 616, so there must be a universe where they had children)
- Kid-Hulk. (It wasn't Bruce Banner but her young daughter who received a dose of gamma rays that turned her into a child Hulk)
- Thanos, Sorcerer Supreme. (Thanos merges with Dr. Strange, He can disguise himself as a human with magic)

Tell me what do you think.
