Sorry, totally overlooked the "depth" of the water. That’s a nice offer, but it would be a huge disgrace for me to let me be carried.
If there’s no tide, I’m confident that I can overcome my fear.
A little wetty toes won’t do any harm, right?
"
Shyly I look at the landscape before me.
"
So, let’s go then. Eddisham, would you mind going at first and decide what we’ll examine first?
"

"Sure," says Eddisham. He looks down at his nice leather boots then looks at the water. "I don't know what's might be on the bottom, so I'll keep my boots on." He begins to wade out toward the nearest structure, using his shillelagh to keep balance and to probe for holes.

You begin making your way into the cool waters of the river. The decision to keep your boods on, though possibly anoying later, is proved wise as your feet trod on irregular masonry hidden in the pants and mud. You soon reach the closest structure, a simple 1 story crypt with a simple but sturdy design and a few worn designs and glyphs on it.
Give me a test if you want to try something (search, open, read the worn writing, etc)

I'd like to search for traces of people that might have been here lately.
Hm ....
If anyone was here recently, they must have left some traces. Look at the water and mud on our boots.

I added a test roll. When I ask for a test or roll that is what I mean. OOC:
@tibbius let's get a test from Ed Jan 6, 2023 3:39 am
OOC:
No worries. We will assume the other 2 are tagging along but a bit separate from Shmautz and Eddisham for the time being.OOC:
OK, I am still getting back up to speed from the holidays, I have a minor notice/correctionShmautz, due to your Sensitive Eyesight you can search with advantage next time
To balance that out a bit Eddisham can roll a search with advantage, due to a tingling from his Precognition guiding your efforts.

I was aware of the Eyesight-Trait. However, I've refused to use it as it's a once-per-day action and I thought it would be a waste so earling in the morning applying it on the first-available building. :)

@tergolap : unles the ability states it has limited use then you can always use it. this system tries to limit resource tracking. Your eyes have advantage unless something implid disadvantage, in which case you then can do a standard test. Jan 6, 2023 5:47 pm
As Shmautz moves beyond the first structure, Eddisham feels a wary sense of urgency that prompts him to peruse the runes and glyphs.

Looking over the words etched into the structures most are details of th inturned individuals or families while others appear to be prayers or enchantments and wards to preserve and protect the structures on thei occupands.
As he reads on he gets somewhat distracted when he find some related markers and absentmindedly begins to follow a pattern only to find then end of the family line. Blinking he looks up, realizing he wandered a bit from Shmautz. As he looks around he notices a two story stucture with openings on the second floor, well above the water line. Having noted this before from the shore he is about to turn and rejoin Shmautz when he notices that some of the vegitation on the structure has been disturbed. Almost as if something has climbed up or down the structure repeatedly . . .

With alacrity, Eddisham moves away from the two-story structure toward Shmautz. "Hey! Shmautz!" he says as he gets nearer to the catfolk. "Someone's been climbing from the second story of that tomb, there!"

"
By G'ar-Field, the heavenly guard of my tribe. YES!
You're right, Eddisham. Now I can see it.
Let's get over there!
But we have to be careful and silent.
", I say to Eddisham.
My whiskers begin to twitch in excitement and my eyes focus on the building.
"
Have you noticed any movement? Are there guards or any of these undead out or up there?
", I ask.
Though I'm excited, I am well aware that any thoughtless action could bring us in great danger.

You examine the Tower but see no movement or eyes letting out. The opening on the second floor are oddly like balconies. Why have this on a crypt?

I see evidence of movement, Eddisham replies, see, the vines are disturbed and torn, the stones of the wall are scuffed clean of moss. He looks with concern up at the balcony. I think that something dwells in there and comes out from time to time. It seems strange to live in a cemetery. Maybe whatever or whoever does that, is linked to the roaming undead. He cracks his knuckles. Let's get up in there I guess?

Moving closer to the structure, Shmautz stifles complaints about the increased water depth, there are plenty of stone work features to climb up to the 2nd floor. The structure is quite big with possibly multiple room or a single large one on the 1st floor and the 2nd looks to be a single room with either a high vaulted ceiling or a potential 3rd floor or attic space? The plants are unusually thick around this structure concealing most of it from examination. The stairs leading up to the doorway are wide smooth marble leading to a heavy double door that is oddly exposed as if the vegetation refuses to grow over or even near it. Each door depicts scenes of the natural world with the right side covered in a mosaic of plant life while the left has a wide variety of animals and the archway around the two covered in images of mushrooms and moss.
You easily scale your way to the 2nd story balcony along the pathway worn to the thicker vines and root past the lush leaves and flowers around you. Peering over the balcony Eddisham sees a single room with a balcony on each of the 4 sides. The balconies all are partitioned off from the outside by metal latices twisted and hammered into the shapes of plants. Only the one between this balcony and the top of its archway have been roughly bent and twisted to create an easy passage into the interior.

I have a hard time figuring out, where Eddisham and Shmautz are currently. Are we1.between the buildings (on the way from the first one to that one you described)
2. at that building (standing in front of it)
climbing the balconies
Thanks.

Eddisham and Shmautz just climbed into the 2nd story of a crypt coved in pants. The crypt has balconies and one has had its screen forcing removed and there are signs of something(s) clinbing in or out.
