So, I was thinking about the auto suceed hits and realized the danger roll is where I see a problem. Armor and shield provide a bonus in attack by making you harder to hit. Hits are automatic. so they should provide a bonus in defense rolls.
Easiest way for me to explain my idea is to show so I modified my char sheet. Look at it and see if you like it. Also moved shield out of weapons and into armor and gave heavy 2 check boxes for the bonuses to work right even though they don't matter now
So ... here's how the sheet currently works:
Defense ||2d6+[_$=dex+shield*atk]|
Melee Harm|2d0+[_$=str+dex*ltwpn+str*hvywpn+atk*(hvywpn+ltwpn)]
Your weapon affects how much harm you can do.
Your shield affects how well you can deflect harm.
Your armor allows you to ignore some harm that you don't deflect. (that's based on looking at what you rolled, I don't have a way to implement it in the sheet.)
I don't understand what you want to change. I like things as they are.
