Idle Chatter [OOC]

Veronica will definitely keep a silent but vigilant watch and she's good at being sneaky and stealthy being a rogue so she'll definitely be doing that. Don't know what else she would be doing as she doesn't know how to forage or cover tracks. Lol.

And awesome.

Veronica has got watch at the front of the party maybe? Dennan and Silas can scout (and not necessarily together, which could make scouting more effective??). Maybe Layla take up the rear; this way she can see the others and keep tabs on their stamina.

I suppose Dennan could be guiding the party through areas where it would be easiest not to leave too many tracks, and we could branch sweep in the places where tracks might be more visible.

Baron, how difficult would the hiking be staying in the woods anyway? I mean, it may be too much to ask of the non-adventurers to do that all the way to Verge. If so, we would have to head toward the fields and the road for their sake.

As far as foraging goes, I suppose we would have to stop at times and gather food.

What about water? Would there be any streams along the way?

Yes, Layla will take the rear. That way she can keep an eye on the people they are escorting, and see if there are any pursuers.

Can't wait to see what happens next with the next gm post but am staying patient. Hope the boar tastes good though.

Roasted to perfection

So with the distance and it being mid-day, I don’t think you make it to either the road or Verge before nightfall. You can continue through the night, but that would start to drain the prisoners.

As it’s the edge of the mountains, I think the prisoners can make the trek straight to verge with rest. If you go toward the road you will lose the cover of the trees about the time of the travel day ends.

I can think of decent reasons for both paths, and there’s not like a "right answer" im looking for.

For streams, while there aren’t rivers, this is woodland and some that you are familiar with. I think we can make an assumption you know of a few spots to get a drink. It’s a good question though. I will be checking food and water for other journeys.

Regardless I’m going to start the journey and do some rolls to see any encounters :)
