Nash and Klim react quickly, launching attacks at the massive crystalline ooze, as Stryker moves back and heals his wounds.. The blob fractures slightly under Nash's strike. The spectral hand causes a larger section of the creature to crack and shatter.

All around the area the holes you passed have glassy masses push up and tendrils begin forming. One of the holes is close to Klim and the mass stretches over then extends a smaller tendril to lashes out at Klim. From where it was struck a tendril shoots out in Nash's direction to strike at the reckless warrior and a piece of his shield as it strikes him.

Klim will use Arcane Deflection, throwing up a magic barrier that protects him from the attack. After he does, he casts Shocking Grasp on the pseudopod in retaliation. If it hits, he will then try to put some distance between himself and enemy

Not that any of that matters now. Wow you made quick work of that. 😁

You tear into the massive ooze which writhes as crack spread through it's form. Large sections shatter under your assault and the rest of us massive bulk retreats down the holes. After a few moments to ensure it doesn't return, and a careful peak down the dark holes from above by Nuada's familiar, your feel confident it was driven off.
Digging through the remains of the ooze you find a variety of gemstones, most of which are the glowing blue crystals that attracted your to this area.

Looking at the party, dirty and tired after hours of hard labor followed by hard fights, Stryker recommends heading back,

"I think we all did well, all of us" says Stryker meeting the newcomers eyes. "Maybe we should head back and call this visit a success."

Stryker patches up Klim and gives a berry to Jax and Nash before taking one for himself.

As you step through the portal it closes behind the last of you. Both Siveril and Dasyra are present with the later bent over a large orb, similar to those you have seen before, covered in glyphs that glow on a multitude of colors with varying intensity.

Off to the side mutters under his breath and scowls as he touches various runes on the orb and watches the changes to the glow emitted by it. Pausing fit a moment he looks up and interrupts asking Did you meet any different natives? Are you aware of any that may have located the portal? and stares at you waiting an answer

We retrieved what you asked for without complication, save a tentative alliance with some fellow tourists, themselves dwarves from the fire plane. Most of the native life we met was hostile, save one elemental who was open to mutually beneficial cooperation. We also met a seemingly powerful, non-native magic entity, who was aware of our portal. Jax tries to debrief them as best he can once the team is back home. He describes the azer and glowing entity in particular detail.

Listening to Jax recount your excursion he glowers at the mention of "a seemingly powerful, non-native magic entity, who was aware of our portal" and after Jax describes it with from prompting he looks glum. I was afraid of this. That was a Liosalfar and they server a force that was in conflict with the People during the Dawn War. Liosalfar are rather odd and before the war not much was known about them. What we did learn in the war is that they are very powerful and positively hate the Tower itself, for whatever reason, and those that work for it. I am surprised he let you go. Probably wasn't sure... and he trails of muttering to himself a moment. The think is I believe it laid an enchantment on the portal so that when you passed through he could peak inside the tower. He knows now that you work for the Tower and likely has you marked. If you ever see a creature like that again expect it to get rather violent. he says glumly.

While Jax was explaining to Dasyra about the Liosalfar Siveril collected the bag of holding, the tools, and identified the two ioun stones for you

While the ioun stone orbits your head you have advantage on Charisma checks and Knows the Gust cantrip and can cast it with only somatic or vocal spell components.

While the ioun stone orbits your head you know and can cast Etherealness at 7th level. Once a week you can do so without expending any spell slots. If cast from the ioun stone the spell can be modified so that instead of becoming ethereal yourself you and two other creatures you touch that round gain the ability to see and touch, or attack with a melee weapon, ethereal things for the same amount of time.

But that is over with for now. I believe we promised to fashion magical items for you as a reward or to help upgrade a growth item. We still have limited resources but should be able to something in our reserves to suit your needs.

Please state simply what you are looking for. The items in our local vault are not often found elsewhere so simply stating another magic items name does not guarantee we will be able to provide you with what you wish but they will be of Uncommon value at the least.
As for you Stryker and Nash as we indicated we can help your items upgrade to Uncommon quality. Stryker, your mask is already at that level though an oddity of its crafting and requirements but the upgrade will still be of use to it by making it a higher grade of uncommon and enhancing it in some way. Upgrading an item either enhances an existing function or adds a new function. With sufficient quality resources minor secondary effect are quite common. Upgrading requires either rare material or a magic item of the level you wish to upgrade it to or both.
If either of you have magic items you wish to fuse with your growth items we will still supliment the process with additional material to heighten the augmentation of the item.

If you are willing to undertake another collection mission for us we can ensure the items are on the higher end of uncommon quality
