Heist the Colours (RP)

So we are fairly separated, and running a different speeds. So we should treat these two encounters as separate and distinct and deal with timing when we bring them back together.

- Raf -

Your shot splashes amongst the trees close to Craig. He ducks reflexively but opens his eyes again to try shoot back.

- Raf -

... His shot comes close but mostly splashes against the tree you are hiding behind and the rest is absorbed by your Armour.

What do you do?

You are so turned around that when you hear the soft sound of laser fire it is not Ronny and the hostage-taker but instead Raf fighting with the guy that was lurking in the bushes.

You can not see Raf or Craig, only the gunfire crisscrossing the path before you. Neither of them know about you yet, and you don't appear to be in the line of fire... unless they move.

What do you do?

The woman's eyes dart between the bushes where her gun is lost, your face, and your little, simple and antiquated looking gun. She can't decide if what you carry is laughable or scary, the red dot (if visible) is intimidating, and the silencer brings all sorts of ideas about professional assassins from movies and such, but she is possibly waiting for a chance to put some distance between herself and it. You know that it quickly becomes less effective when a few paces away, even if the laser sight offsets that a bit.

GJ nods agreement to your instructions, you think he might obey... if all things go well. You still don't know the status of Rudolf (was he 'roof-guy') and Craig, and there is also the possibility of 'Nigel' of whom you have heard nothing. If her comms are open and transmitting there is a chance they heard your instruction.

GJ seems to believe you are in control, he scrabbles around on the ground till he finds the computer bag, then clutching it to his chest with both hands, runs off in the direction you indicated.

What do you do?

The woman on the ground glares at you, but she turns her head and speaks into her comm: "We are done here. Everyone fall back, meet back at base... Anyone hearing me?" She looks at you apologetically when she gets no reply, but you are fairly confident she sent the message."I am Gabriela." She says resentfully. "I don't 'work for' anyone. That fool put it out on the net that he had a fancy computer he wanted to sell. On the phone he admitted he wanted to add pressure to an existing buyer to push up the price, but we traced him and came to take it from him before 'the buyer' got there. I assume you are the buyer? I hope you did not kill my men. We were just trying to make a buck before he attacked Nigel." She sounds surprised by this last part. GJ is a weedy looking guy and you would not expect him to put up much of a fight when confronted face-to-face.

"I will remember you, 'Ronny'." She says as she slowly stands and starts to head in the direction you pointed.

What do you do?

Bob's 'music' makes it harder than it needs to be, but you can decipher which side is Raf --talking on comms-- vs Craig --being as silent as he can be. The music means you can also probably talk to Raf on the phone without giving away your position or that you are even around.

It sounds like Craig has fired off a shot to cover his movement. You would guess that he is trying to get away, deeper into the bushes, and possibly in your general direction. If he is fleeing, you should be able to avoid him without too much difficulty, or you may be able to place yourself in his path to set a trap.

What do you do?

At the agreed upon time Bob's 'music' cuts off suddenly. You can hear sirens in the distance, and though they probably aren't for you, the ruckus may well have generated some complaints and police interest. It may be best to be gone from here before the cops get here and maybe find evidence of a gunfight.

In the quiet that follows Cat and Raf can find no trace of Craig after some moments of careful stalking, it appears he has scarpered. Ronny's message comes though that the enemy have ordered a withdrawal.

If you head towards Bob and your exit vehicle, once you pass the park gate onto the road, you see GJ --who has taken off the identifying green jacket-- clutching the computer bag to his chest and trying to slip past Bob and Abby without making eye-contact or being seen. This whole situation has been scary for him, and he is out of his depth and still not sure you are safe to be around, and is trying to make a run for it.
