"Yer A bloody crew, but no doubt this orc would've done the same to the next passerby." Mogguth invokes Sylvanus in a unhurried prayer for the dead.

"...and return his blood to the forest that spawned him."

Ah I see, I Just wanted to see it felt like that had been glossed over.
Triana's blade pierced the orcs neck in on clean thrust, she withdrew the blade watching it's corpse hit the ground. She had barely wiped the blood off her blade before her esrtwile companies had dived into it's pockets. She sheathed the blade making only more mental notes.

"I believe we should make haste, no point standing around."

Having dispatched the toll-taking orc in short order you move down into the gully where the beast was hiding. About eight feet deep and fully overgrown it was the perfect spot for the orc to watch for unwary travelers and it's obvious from just a quick investigation that he has spent quite some time at this location.

Within a few hours you make the turn to the south and your travels over the next few days are relatively uneventful; a minor run in with a few wayward goblins being the only real excitement along the way. As evening approaches on your eighth day of travel your destination is just a few short mile ahead and as you crest a small rise you can see Greenest off in the distance. But instead of the pleasant, welcoming town that you expected, you see columns of black smoke rising from burning buildings, running figures that are little more than dots at this distance, and a dark, winged shape wheeling low over the keep that rises above the center of town. Greenest is being attacked by a dragon!
OOC:
You are approaching the town from the northwest.

"Sylvanus' mercy, what horrors! We are no match for a dragon on our own, but perhaps we can assist the townsfolk in driving it off."

Mogguth hefts her shield and gets out her crossbow, attaching her axe to the back of her pack. As she matches guard, loading a bolt, she says "Tayleron, what do your elven eyes see? Lead us into the inferno."

Tayleron looks down at the burning town then up at the circling dragon. "I'm guessing the most resistance is still in the keep. Let's be off to at least assist." I start leading the rest of the group down towards Greenest using the most expedient way.

The many hours hat made up the continued walk after they had slayed the Orc. Triana played for a short while as they walked, evenually thiugh long after she had ceased playing the group reached the town of Greenest. The smell and site of rising smoke was the first thing they saw then as they reached within view Triana could only stare in horror at the site, no visions of music stirred in her mind at least not as strong as the horror. She nodded as the rouge was thr first to march forward then drawing her blade she followed afterwards. The words of her bardic spells throwing through her mind, songs that would inspire, whistling tunes that would reknit skin, mend bones. As she went down she began scanning the surroundings, "We have to help any locals their's a chance groups have been trapped in houses."

Do'urth gazes at the town, specifically the dragon. The stench of the air doesn't seem to bother Do'urth. His face remains blank, yet he slightly grits his teeth, and lets out a small sigh. Well this wasnt included in the contract.. He looks over to the group starting to march towards the keep, and he tags alomg for a while.

The half moon and numerous fires within the village provide just enough light to give you an idea of the carnage that has befallen the town. Groups of figures run about, some appear to be fleeing, while others seem to be going about their business without a care in the world. As you reach the outskirts of Greenest it's clear the most of the flames are coming from haystacks, wagons, and barns that have been set ablaze, most of the homes and shops appear to be untouched by fire, a small consolation.

Entering the village you get your first look at the invaders as six hooded figures stand over several corpses. They are methodically searching the recently deceased and don't even notice that they're being watched.

OOC:
Im sorry, stealth is plus 6, not 8. I hit the wrong number.
Aug 1, 2016 10:42 pm
OOC:
No, you don't have advantage for your stealth roll, but are already considered hidden as the lighting is dim and the humans are pre-occupied with the bodies they're looting.

OOC:
Okay, I can work with that.

Do'urth breathes in, targeting the closest invader, his breaths are steady and calm, and his mind focused. Do'urths hand tightens, not too hard, but firmly on the grip, the string pulled all the way back, and whoosh... he lets the arrow loose, sending it straight towards his target.

Go ahead and add your damage roll (and sneak attack damage roll). Generally you would just add these rolls initially in case you hit, that way you don't have to go back and edit your post.
