Vice will wander the market to gather the things he'll need to cast spells later. 'I guess I can't rely on there always being sand around' he thinks.
OOC:
not sure what copper wire, and a bit of fleece, colored sand, rose petals, and small feather would cost?

OOC:
I would say, since you’re prolly going to add spells later, a component pouch would make sense. It comes with the basic spell components without needing to itemize them. Unless the spell says the component is spent, you wouldn’t need to spend gold to replace it. It’s 25 gp

OOC:
thanks Nictorah, I'll double check my spells list and spend the gold.
Feb 26, 2023 12:26 am
Core spent a gold coin and got the mapping copying materials. He still has 9 day of rations so he set. He is ready and willing to leave immediately. He has pocketed his 50 gold coins. And yep he has 621gp debt hanging over him. He has +5 driving skills for the cart. If you are loading anything in the cart. Let me know.

Harry Brindle
You meet the town merchant Harry Brindle a couple doors down from the Salvage Market. His shop is messy with items of every description piled randomly or in neat stacks with no sense of order. He’s friendly, a little quirky, if not a little too curious about your comings and goings. He has all the items you’re looking for and quickly retrieves them all for you. How he knows exactly where everything is in this chaos, you have no idea.
Feb 26, 2023 9:27 pm
Vice heads into Harry's shop with what he assumed was an eclectic mix of items needed for his spells. He was amazed that the shopkeep had all the items, but even more amazed with how quickly and effortlessly he was able to grab them from the nooks and crannies or piles of other items they were buried under. He paid for the items and the pouch, then headed back to meet the others and, he shivered, back into the mist.

Your group meets back in Belaluur’s warehouse, where you find Earic waiting for you.

Earic Finnini

"I’m so glad you’re as eager to moving as I am. Shall we?" This time, Earic rides up top with Core to aid in reading the map. "I noticed you copying the map. A wise choice, I suppose."

With Earic’s guidance and Core’s driving, the afternoon passes without incident and you arrive at the pass where the warforged had marked the road.

You wind your way up to the top of the cliffs and begin travelling north. The western edge of the Mournland lies hundreds of feet beneath you. From this vantage point, you can see the wall of the grey mist in the distance. Even from here, you can see the swirling faces gashing at the windless sky. The sun is now beginning it’s descent toward the wall in the distance.
OOC:
Could I get a round of perception checks?

Vice was inside the coach this time, but looked around to see if there was anything worth seeing...

Perhaps the tediousness of the barren landscape, the feeling of being watched, or by some other distraction, most of the group doesn’t notice much on this stretch of the journey. However, Core recalled seeing pieces of the soarwood floating over the cliffs of the previous night’s camp and looks skyward.

As the daylight begins to wane, he notices more of the floating wood scraps in the skies to the northeast. He points the debris out to Earic who is elated. "Such keen eyesight my crocodilian friend. I don’t think we can make it there before nightfall. Perhaps we should look for a safe place to make camp for the night. This cart’s speed is wonderfully helpful. However, its light may draw unwanted attention in the dark."

Nictorah sent a note to GeneCortess
Earic makes a few notes on his map. "Extraordinary, those warforged were hot on the Cyre’s trail."
OOC:
I’ll need a group perception check (DC 15) to find a safe spot to camp out. Core may roll with advantage based on the nat 20.

It had a been a long time since Vice had to sleep anywhere other than the circus. Even cramped 4 to a room was better that what the options appeared to be out here.

Mordaky watched out the window, and listened to the others talk about camp sites. This place was so dreary and it was really effecting his mood. He absent mindedly flipped a coin to pass the time.

You continue travelling northeast in the hopes of finding some sort of cover. However, you find yourself on a barren, flat plateau with only scattered boulders for shelter. The air is still and everything around you seems quiet. Even the whispers are less frequent here.

Core pulls the coach next to the largest boulder he can find before daylight completely disappears. He makes sure to orient himself with the floating debris, and shuts down the cart. Earic thanks Core for his driving, but then crams himself into the shelter of the coach.
OOC:
I’ll assume you’re going to set up a watch, but you have about half an hour of light if you wish to RP the camp.
