Shoot. I didn't see the updates until today. My bad for not checking earlier.
Fog Cloud is 20' radius, but it's drawn as a 20' diameter I think.
That's why I threw it down at the crossroads, not near to us.
You can just leave it if you like since it might affect all the previous stuff.

NOTE: Deleted my post because I couldn't do what I was trying.
Knowing the elves will have to come around the fog, Malbor moves out from the cover of the tree long enough to unleash a mental assault on the approaching enemy. Drilling into his mind, he implants (what he thinks) are his own memories of an airship going down, with the crew burning alive as it falls from the sky.

I guess I deserve that terrible roll somehow.. funny enough.. the same thing (terrible damage rolls) is happening in my RL game, where I rolled a 17 for Lightning Bolt damage last week. 17 !!!

The elf shakes his head and darts his eyes around, looking for the unseen source of the whispers. His frightened eyes lock on Malbor. Wary of you, the elf keeps his distance and rushes over to the far tree for cover. He fires an arrow, which swishes past Malbor’s face, landing tree behind.

The prone elf scrambles to escape the onslaught of the guards. Reaching the edge of the fog, he turns and quickly launches an arrow at the closest guard, striking him in the arm.

The elf that had stepped out near the creek, now quickly splashed through it, putting distance between himself and the group. He and the remaining elf each fire an arrow at 37, both arrows find their mark on the warforged.
OOC:
Narrative wise, moving the location of the fog won’t be an issue. I apologize for forgetting that radius in not diameter… Kleber is up with the support elves on deck.

Kleber sheathes his bow and swiftly draws his short swords while charging forward, eyes set on the wounded quarry. He needs to get rid of this one before the fog disperses.

Kleber slashes at the elf, who attempts to block the attack with his bow. The half-orc cuts right through the bow and crunches into the side of the elf’s ribs. His second attack misses as the elf collapses to the ground dead.

37 catches a glimpse of one elf peek around a tree and Malbor sees another dashing right at him.

Guards three and four crash through the brush hearing Malbor’s commotion with the archer and are surprised to find the elf standing in front of them. They quickly call out as they start their attack and the elf easily parries their attack.

The remaining guards each target an elf archer, but distracted by the others disappearing into the brush, their bolts miss. They pull back slightly, preparing to support Earic if necessary.

Vice follows the guards so as not to loose sight of the enemy. He catches up and attacks the Elf with Greed and Envy.

The arrow that hits 37 hits hard, but he ignores it and assesses the situation, scanning for a target. Seeing one across the stream, he uses the node on his chest to blast at it.

Vice closes in on the elf and takes a swing with Greed, which the elf also parries without issue. The elf smirks with glee at the onslaught, which is interrupted by a quick slash to his thigh by Envy.

As 37’s chest ignites a lighting bolt, it sizzles across the creek, striking true on the elf. The archer shrieks in pain and loses sight of the warforged as he ducks next to the fog.

Gzizmix, meanwhile, moves his spiritual weapon in support of 37. He then turns and hurls a scorching hand at the elf across the clearing. Shielded partially, the fire hits the tree, missing the elf.

The assassin moves to get a view of the clearing and nocks another three arrows. Each one finds its mark this time, striking the two guards and the circus gnome.

Malbor recognizes that the leader poses the biggest threat, and steps out but remains behind the protection of Vice and the nearby guards. He drills into the elfs mind in an attempt to halt his assault.

As his focus shifts to the elf, the fog dissipates.
OOC:
The leader has to make an INT (DC 13) save. He takes 5 damage if he fails (and the -2 to next save)
Then he has to make a WIS (13) save vs. Hold Person (at -2 if he failed the INT save)

If the hold works, Malbor tells Vice to ignore the others and kill the leader.

Malbor watches the elven archer grab his head in pain. He shakes it off, just as the second spell hits, again trying to drive into the elf’s mind. Malbor feels the elf push him back out with a loud yell, "ARRRGHH!!"

With the loss of two of their comrades, the remaining flankers line up their targets and fire another, if smaller, volley of arrows. Guard two has the elf’s arrow slice through his shoulder. Gzizmix watches as the bow string of the third elf snaps. The archer curses loudly, throwing his bow to the ground. He draws a simple dagger and runs for cover as his cohort yells, "Where are you going?!"

In the clearing, the sword fight continues in a flurry of metal. The elf misses the guard he was targeting in all the melee.

I forgot to add the modifier to the roll. It would have been a 15.

Kleber is up next, with 6 & 7 on deck.

With the fog cleared, Kleber slides towards a nearby rock, sheating his blades and hunching for cover.

The sound of clashing steel draws his attention to the 3-on-1 brawl, Kleber's eyes gleam at the opportunity.
"Another one falls," he mutters, directing his spell towards another target.

Without hesitation, he snatches his bow, nocks another Walloping Arrow, and releases it through the gap between the guards.

Kleber fires an arrow into the fray and watches it ricochet off one of the guard’s blades.

The elf, clearly outnumbered, spins around the one guard to get some distance from Vice and Malbor. He dodges the swipe from guard four and slashes at guard three as he pirouettes into the partial cover of the tree. "Over here!", he yells out to his party. The guard blocks the slash and takes a swing of his own, nicking the elf for his troubles.

Guard four crashes through the tree branches to continue his assault, but the tree interferes with his sword and the elf blocks it with his bracer.

Elf seven streaks by 37 smashing the warforged with his bracer as he passes. 37 barely moves from the impact. The elf continues across the road in response to the call of his comrade.

The two crossbow guards each fire a bolt at the now very lonely elf. The first bolt thuds deep into the shoulder of the elf’s draw arm, which falls limp. The second bolt catches him in the neck. The elf drops to one knee, clutching the heavily bleeding wound with his good arm.
OOC:
Vice and 37 may take attacks of opportunity if you wish to use your reaction.

37, I realized I had your AC wrong earlier. Only one arrow hit you. I’ve corrected your hit points back to 20.

I apologize for the confusing dice roll… I hit save too early.

The assassins are agile and nimbly dodge the counter attacks. 37’s lightning sizzles wide. Vice stands his ground.

Gzizmix’s spectral weapon closes in on the fading elf. He looks up into its eerie light, seemingly mesmerized by it and then he falls.

Moving into cover, the gnome fires at the only remaining visible archer and sends off a fiery blast. The shot hits the tree as the elf ducks quickly to avoid the shower of sparks.

The leader moves around the tree, maintaining his cover. Seeing his comrade locked in battle, he tries to even the odds, launching three arrows at the injured guard. All three arrows simultaneously hit the guard’s chest and he collapses to the ground.
