Horace stops his praying when he hears this. "See, we are indeed blessed by the gods. It doesn't matter how those goblins live in there, all that matters is that they die. Their evil must be stopped. Czespecem, if you would be so kind as to guide us to those goblins, I will lead the

I just need some info before you return to the tapestry chamber. Are you checking doors for traps again? Are you listening at each door again? Are you taking the most direct path that the dwarf knows?

Day Seven. Late evening. Monastery of the Iron God.

The party stands before the ruined monastery, most for the first time. For Czespecem, however, there are memories of what had occurred the last time he explored within. The group steps inside and begins their cautious approach to the tapestry room, hoping to catch the goblins unawares.

With a slow movement- checking each door for traps and listening to what may lie beyond- it takes roughly an hour before you find yourselves in the secret room with the tapestries; Czespecem notices that there are no bodies present. At the door that led to the goblin lair, they wait and listen, but are confident that nothing is behind the portal. Wherever the remaining goblins had fled, it was not back to this spot. Inside the room, there is still no sign of a fight other than disturbed dust on the floor and the splattering of blood. A single door awaits to the south. Behind it, the sound of goblins.

Wilric quietly slips an arrow from his quiver notching it into place. The plucky Halfling slowly moves the tapestry covering the door to check if it is clear, before slipping out into the shadows of the next room.

Cautiously he checks around for traps and dangers.

Hidden in the room that once housed the goblin menace, Wilric pokes and prods at the door between them and the likely survivors. Time passes, and he finds no traps on the door. But he does continue to hear goblin voices from beyond.

"Right," Czespecem says quietly. "Now, Wardhall, you and Horace here should be first through the door. I'll come next with me shovel. Gilsbead and Gillaug, you follow. Then the rest of us. When I open the door, we go." He looks for agreement.

It's been a few days. Updating.
Bursting open the door, Wardhall leaps into the room hoping that Horace stands beside him. Inside the room, twelve goblins freeze in surprise at the adventurers; several thuds indicate dropped weapons. It will be a tight fit to get all the adventurers inside... at least not without slaying a few of the beasties.

Having been prepared, the sailor comes in swinging. His mace makes a fearsome weight heading towards a goblin's head... And a sicking crack can be heard as the goblin drops dead.

As his larger companions barrel into the room Wilric slides in the door keeping the wall to his back, then releases two arrows in quick succession . . .

Czespecem cleaves an unprepared goblin in twain with his enchanted shovel, leaving the two parts to fall separately in front of its comrades. Arrows fly into the room to no avail, but effectively threaten the creatures. Gillaug takes a moment to aim and releases a bolt which sticks in a shoulder.

You can fit two more melee warriors, now that two goblins have perished.

Another goblin finds itself dead in as many seconds, this one being from a head-cleave from a devout blade. Of the twelve goblins, nine remain. The numbers are evening.

Seeing the party mowing down the goblins one after another, Eagerwish jerks his head from Gillaug towards the goblins.

He shouts and follows the dart, his sickle sword and shield in hand, ready to earn his place among the adventurers!

Nim rushes into the room with his companions and falls on the nearest goblin, preferably one that is caught flat-footed by their sudden advance. Brandishing his dagger, he thrusts it at the goblin...

OOC: Not sure if any bonuses to hit apply for surprise, etc.

The goblins scramble to pick up their weapons and return the attack before it is too late, but you all not only caught them unawares but also a little faster than the goblins. Having forced your way into the room, you continue your assault.

I was under assumption that Gillaug had a crossbow, however he did not seem to attack. Does he need to be in the room as well?
