Graduation Day

Still holding the electrician tools, Archer suddenly finds himself in the middle of a shootout s the airlock is opened.
He ducks to cover and tries to get a look around.
The turret is preventing them from entering the habitat and now with the breach time is of the essence.
If only there was a way to disable the turret? he wonders as he looks around. Maybe the wire between the habitat and the generator could cut the power...?
OOC:
Looking for a quick way to disable the turret
Edit: well, nevermind

The idea to cut the power to the turret was a good one, but right now, Archer fails to spot any connecting wires...

"Okay, everyone, shape up." AJ says, lifting her pulse rifle, taking a moment to address everyone. "Habitat’s already breached. Can’t get any worse than that."
OOC:
Using the Leadership trait to grant advantage to everyone. Is a roll required?

This is a good point. I thought the building was powered by the ship, and we severed the connection. That's why they had to come outside to investigate. It should be completely dark inside with no power, unless they have some sort of auxiliary/emergency power hooked up.

Quick what do we use the glory point for?

OOC:
Hmm, good question. The Trait does not really says much about how it's used, but later in the book it states that Presence can be used to inspire the troops, so yeah, a roll would make sense. And since this is a nat 1, you guys gain another Glory Point.

OOC:
Perhaps they have auxiliary power, a generator, or some capacitors/batteries, or perhaps the turret also has its own power reserve, who knows... But then again Archer failed his roll so I can't really tell you much...

We already have increased armor. Maybe we could use it for some more firepower.

oh yeah, since I went with the dice roll for Leadership, that critical will give you An Advantage on your next 2 rolls.

The grey man at the entrance ducks behind a table and takes a shot of his laser rifle... and Melena is hit by the blast for 4 points of damage.

Mr. Black then says to his companions "You've heard the lady, take that turret down!" and each of them take their shot. The damage seems to be superficial at best...

The turret then retaliates... and hits Mrs. White once again, but the laser glances off her armor this time.

Further back, there is a buzz of movement, you're not sure what's happening there yet...

Melena curses loudly as she is hit, then retaliates. Seeing as the attacks were superficial at best, she turns her fire on the turret.

Several pieces of armor platings fly off the turret, but it is still standing.

Archer, Enzo, Richter in any order are up.
Apr 2, 2023 7:13 am
Richter tries to feel out the laser rifle. With no former training he is reduced to treating it like he sees the Greys doing. He doesn't aim, doesn't know how to do that with such a weapon without front or rear sights. Instead Intuition drove him to squeeze and hold the trigger mechanism just as he saw the Greys do it.

Seeing no obvious way to disable the turret, Archer settles with just shooting it up.

The Grey laser rifle is surprisingly intuitive in it's use. a laser flies toward the turret hitting it (roll 1d6+2 for damage please). Sadly, there doesn't seem to be any sort of rapid fire options on this thing... At least, if there are, they're locked behind far less intuitive manipulations of this weapons...

Thanks to AJ, your rolls are at An Advantage. (This applies to Richter and Enzo as well, but since you succeeded...).

Enzo's shot knocks out a bit more armor from the turret... Soon, you'll probably be able to actually damage that thing.

AJ is up next.
