Hey folks, as we are getting ready for the next adventure, let's take a moment to look at what is working in the fame and what we'd like to see in future games.

I would like to use the Stars and Wishes technique for gathering feedback. Try it out, it's fun! For the Stars part, everyone who played (including the Ref) offers a Star to another member of the group, to a moment in the game, or to an element of the overall experience (you can give out more than one star if you like). You can award a star for - amazing roleplay, great character moments, amazing descriptions by the GM, the feeling you had at a certain moment, another player’s generosity, a mechanic of the game system that really sang etc. A star is a thing you loved about the game - if the game you played was amazing it is often hard to choose!

After stars have been given, everyone makes a Wish. Each player tells the table something they would like to see happen in a future session. You can make a wish about - something you want to see happen with your own character, an interaction you’d love to see between two characters, a mechanic you would like to see come into play that you haven’t seen yet, places you hope the story might go, etc.

You can post your stars and wishes right here in this forum.

Stars: Everyone gets a star! Everyone had a unique character that meshed really well together and it already feels like they're a cohesive group. The GMing has been great and the art provided really made the world come to life.

Wish: some mystery in the next adventure, hopefully with what happened with the Wayward Wind and Seally's family stuff. Anything a reporter like Fallon would want to uncover. Also tracking down the people who abandoned Zuni Zuzu could be fun too.

I mirror everything Nezz says. I really enjoyed the setting and the art totally made it for me as well as the descriptions and GMing style.

All the characters are unique and interesting and the group dynamic is engaging and fun.

I'm very curious about the Wayward Wind's history and I love the idea of exploring new places especially if they will provide more cool art.

No star for Nezz or Windy for their unhelpful blanket-starring of the entire cast and landscape! Even if they are right.

I'll give a star to Alerio for not joining in our shenanigans at the beach. She stood out for the difference, and took the opportunity to learn more about the setting.

I'd also give a star to Gino. Maybe he was a bit of a caricature, but he really popped in my mind's eye.

As a Wish, I'll echo that the recent history of the Wayward Wind is compelling. The ship has character, and secrets, especially that corrupted hole in the memory banks. These little tidbits have been doled out slowly with a master's patience, so good on Len for managing that.

I also really like all the characters! I do think there’s a nice variety of character, and skills, so the team gels together nicely! I think we found our feet well.

The art is a big help, and does add something to the game. Just a little embellishment here and there really helps make the place feel alive.

As for next time, I’m none too fussy. We don’t seem like a combat group. I wonder what kind of job we would accept.

Stars: Pretty much agree with what everyone is saying. A big star goes out to the group dynamics outside the game, which is always a good metric for longevity. In-game, stars go out to:

* Qralloq for his outside-the-box thinking of how to use Gino's truck. Traveller is often about using creativity to accumulate better odds on a skill check, in an OSR kind of way, and I love seeing what creative ideas people come up with to solve problems. Also, love how you're portraying Seally being stuck up enough that her royal heritage shows, but without being unlikable. Tough balance to strike, but you did it.

* Nezz for portraying Fallon's investigative journalism instincts - it's like she's hard-wired to get to the bottom of things, which is such a useful trait for a character to drive stories forward. There wasn't too much for her to chew on in this adventure, but she'll find plenty of corruption and injustice out there. Also, I respect that you wanted the failure during the evacuation scene just stand for itself.

* KCC for moving the story forward when things were getting bogged down in mechanics. Plus, you're always ready with a fun gif and an encouraging word in the discord. Like Qralloq pointed out, you've created opportunities in the story to make Alerio really stand apart from the crowd.

* Windyridge for Zuni being the life of the party. Whether he's waggling his eyebrows or making innuendos at the beach, it's a delight to read. And when you switch to serious mode, it is entirely believable. Great portrayal of a Xander-esque character.

I'm surprised that the art actually made a difference. I wasn't sure if it was value added, but I guess a picture is worth a thousand words. Would love to learn how to make non-humans better, like Vargr. It would be sweet to get it to draw Wayward Wind in new poses.

Glad people liked the setting. I poured my small-town Canada experiences into Walston. Like, every town has their equivalent of the Museum of Sand, it seems. And Gino was based on a real person I know from Northern BC!

Wishes: My wish is to launch into interstellar sandbox play. Sandbox is always tricky, but especially PbP. Yet, I think it will be a lot of fun, and excitedly jump in with both feet. Walston is set up to be your Jaynestown, a safe harbour to return to when you need it, and the Bowman Arm (and beyond) is all around you to explore and get into trouble. Larger events are queued up, like the Wayward Wind's inaccessible memory banks, that might provide solid A and B plots, but you can also just go ignore all that and go asteroid mining, or try to install Zuzu as head of government on some primitive rock in the boonies of space.

For the immediate future, I think you might try your hand at hauling freight and passengers to raise funds for ship repairs / upgrades as you travel from system to system, and see what freelance work comes up along the way that interest you. But we'll see what ideas your downtime posts inspire, and we'll go from there.

Anything to be said for a bug hunt? A quick end to our merry band, that!

You do have a very nice combat rifle.
