Monrayleux is delighted that you accepted. His face even manages to smile a little bit.
The hour passes quickly, and each of you prepare in your own fashion.A trio of Florians greet you at the airlock after you dock with Paragon One, including Monrayleux. The other two are similarly diminutive and a hair shy of being sickliness, but do not speak. Each is seated in a squarish hovering chair, and a large, black crown rests upon each of their heads. Now that you are face-to-face with them, you see the crowns are actually wired into their heads.
You also see two tall, heavy-set bipedal figures lurking in the background, though it is too dark to make out much detail beyond that.
The interior of Paragon One is very dark. Dim, greenish-blue lights are sparsely arranged, and everything is painted black from walls to deck plates. Gravity and atmosphere feel very similar to Imperial standard.
The Florians lead you to a dimly-lit banquet hall, where a feast has been laid out. The air is filled with the tantalizing aroma of exotic spices and herbs. Monrayleux describes the food to you in his bizarre, deep voice.
While the food is served, Monrayleux begins with small talk, asking about your ethnic origins and occupation, and about your religious beliefs. Reading between the lines, you gather he is trying to understand why the Alo'hei contacted you.
"The Children of the Stars guided our ancestors to Floria after a spectacular jump accident stranded them hundreds of parsecs from home. It is there where we Diverged. We are ready for the next stage of our evolution, and we are the first of five ships sent to seek out the Children and return with their Insight."

[ +- ] Banquet description
There is a delicate soup made from the broth of a rare and elusive creature that lived deep beneath Floria's oceans. The soup was served in a bowl made from the shell of the creature itself, which had been expertly carved and polished to a shimmering luster.
Next is a platter of roasted insects, each one skewered on a delicate toothpick and arranged in a spiral pattern around the plate. They are at once savoury, crunchy, and spicy.
The third course was a medley of fruits and vegetables, each one more vibrant and exotic than the last. The centerpiece of the platter was a large, bulbous fruit that glows with an otherworldly radiance.
The fourth course is a platter of fish, each one filleted and arranged in an intricate pattern. The fish is served raw, but has been marinated in a complex mixture of spices and oils that gives them a rich, smoky flavor.
The final course is a dessert made from a gelatinous substance that had been harvested from a plant that grew only in the deepest, darkest parts of Florida's dense forests. The dessert is sweet and rich, with a texture that is both chewy and slippery.
