interest check for vampire: the masquerade

here is the game. I want to run a game where the players are newly made (or mostly new) vampires still at the behest of their sires. I'm thinking about a pretty political game, not so heavy on the violence but big on shifting power and control and exerting influence on various portions of the city. the question is, do you gather all this power for your sire? or do you seek your own power in the city?
