New to 5E but a D&D veteran since 1983

Hello all. I’ve been playing D&D since the red box BASIC set in 1983. I haven’t played in about 10 years and I stopped at version 2.5. I’ve been jonesing to get back into rpg and 5E looks very interesting. Looking for a campaign to play my first 5E character (a ranger gloomstalker) and hoping to find a DM/Players willing to be a little patient with me till I understand the game mechanics well. I have been studying the 5E game and I’m getting much more familiar with it.

I bring tons of role playing experience with me but just a little rusty.
