The other figure steps forward from the shadows to stand beside her. It's a young man wearing chain armour. A bow is slung across his back and he's holding a battle-axe.

"You come across first, and no funny business or I'll cut this bridge down. We're taking a hell of a chance on you."OOC:
Not to cause trouble, but I don't see why our characters would immediately obey commands from unfamiliar intruders and take a dangerous path to an unknown location to probably fight an unknown enemy. It seems awfully risky without more information. That said, in the interest of keeping the story moving, if the party wants to use the rope bridge, Gromli will volunteer to be first.
Also, I think there's a good chance that the dwarves from long ago would have built at least one secret passage in this hall and the PCs should at least look for a way down that doesn't involve the bridge.
