Chapter 0: Hole in the Sky
Through feeling around very carefully, you are able to determine that the bridge is 30 feet wide, 2 feet thick, and feels like stone cobbles underfoot. It simply hangs in the sky with no support. This is the path forward...
You muster your druthers as you set out as a group along the invisible bridge. It is just wide enough for you to march six abreast, forming four ranks.
As you travel through the night, the bridge gently rises to a height of a half mile over the surface of the ocean. Dawn eventually breaks, and the day is sunny but the air is quite cold at this height. Land is completely out of sight.
Eventually, you reach the limits of your stamina. You will need to rest here, on a bridge you cannot see, oh so high in the sky...
"Good lad."
Sage is furiously scribbling notes in his journal regarding the bridge and the effects of high altitude on the body. This was certainly higher than he had ever been and the sensation was exhilarating!
As for Boxer, the dwarf, he did not care for the bridge one bit. The old mule sat cross legged in the center of the path and would not move.
They travelled until they could no longer walk due to exhaustion, they now sat down on the invisible bridge and hoped for the best.
"Stay close together." Bren the scribe said to his and the other groups, "it will help you stay warm in this cold weather."

Joe the farmer has been collecting eggs from his hen and cooks some and offers them to his compatriots around him. He keeps an eye on the chicken to make sure no one gets any ideas about cooking it.
Deacon spends his time helping others and praying.
Honey had enjoyed the walk across the bridge. The views were unbelievably beautiful and there was a sense of mystery and purpose in the air. When settling in for the night, she unpacked her jar of the bee’s gold and dunked a hunk of bread to fill her belly before rest.
Fox and Talon, brothers of an Elven mother, huddle close together as they did when they were children and bear the strange night.
Wrong Jonny crouches down and eventually just curls up fetal as close to the middle as he can.
Havlar marks the edge near him by sprinkling crumbs from his meal nearby. When he wakes, he'll be able to see if he moved closer in his sleep, is his thoughts.
Suddenly, a huge gust of wind blasts you!
This is a good time to remind you about your ability to burn Luck to increase your saving throws or ability checks! (Quick Start Guide pg. 22)
"Help us!" Cried Ulric and Bren together.
"Quickly, we must make a line holding each other's legs so that some of us can get close to get the ones that are going to fall off!" Shouted Asha ash she took out her handaxe and began to motion for some of the others to grab her legs so that she can crawl over to get to the edge and help pull up those that are hanging on for dear life.

Honey, Fox, and Talon seemed to see the change blowing in the wind. They huddled close and stayed secure.

Alister spits, "You sky-blind coward. Time away from the Stone has turned your courage sour."
Kip bears teeth and hisses, "Words! If you're so brave, show us how it's done. Fall to your death and be swallowed by the sea."
Alister lunges toward Kip, but Selene and Roy get between them.
Roy thinks, "Now is my time, lead!" Roy clears his throat and lowers his voice, "I will take the first step. Follow me, travelers. Let us change our stars together!" Roy takes a deep breath, swallows his fear, and takes a step off the cliff and into the night sky.
Pipit and Joe were both able to hold on to the group to survive. They assist the group pulling others up when the wind calms.

Wrong Jonny turns sideways and just leans, the wind leaving him be.
Yvon Kant feels like he's going over but his knee buckles fortuitously and he falls flat splaying his limbs, frozen at the close call.
Havlar rumbles off the edge but grabs a hold with one hand, and then pulls himself back on. He heaves and pants with the exertion.

The wind becomes more manageable as the storm continues. It is cold and miserable, however, and those with a weak constitution begin to sniffle and cough.
