Tabat finishes a quick check around both corners and in the south-west and south-east rooms, then returns to the others as Iseret gets back to their feet. "Looks clear so far," he says. He gestures to the western set of doors to their immediate north. "Iseret, if you're feeling better, care to do the honors?" Once Iseret has cleared the door of immediate danger Tabat readies and opens the door.

A cracked fountain in the center of this dried, open courtyard occasionally.sputters a thick gout of water and silt. Columns support a roof covering a tiled walkway around the perimeter of the courtyard. Decorative double doors to the north and south provide access to the villa’s interior.

In the center, a horror show turns to face you. Snarling in rage, it attacks. A lurching mash-up of rotting flesh, jagged bone, and coarse hair, this humanoid monstrosity reeks of death and decay.

Iseret is first, then the undead horror. It's 30' away in the center of the room.

"What in the name of all the gods is that?" Iseret asks Tabat and Khadi. Without waiting for an answer, she moves to flank it (if possible), striking with her shortsword.
OOC:
If Iseret goes first, then I assume it is flat-footed and therefore susceptible to sneak attack.

Rolls

Iseret vs. undead (flanking, sneak attack) - (1d20+7+2, 1d4+5+3d6)

1d20+7+2 : (11) + 9 = 20

1d4+5+3d6 : (2) + (213) + 5 = 13

Iseret's blade skies cleaning through the rotting flesh. The smell is nauseating (Iseret must beat a DC12 Fortitude save or become Nauseated).

It focuses on the slender rogue, bashing at her with its fists. Iseret must also save against disease. (9 damage and save or be diseased.)

AC 17, hp: 29/42
Filth Fever: slam—injury; save Fortitude DC 14; onset 1d3 days; frequency 1/day; effect 1d3 Dex damage and 1d3 Con damage; cure 2 consecutive saves.

Everyone may act, including Iseret's next action.

Iseret draws back slightly, the stench overwhelming her. She retches, emptying the contents of her stomach.

"Iseret!" Tabat holds up a hand to signal Andromeda to stay back then rushes forward, his spear in hand and thrusts the weapon at the creature with all his might.
OOC:
Charge - Reckless Strike: +0 Attack, +6 Damage, -2 AC (for total of 18 until next round)

EDIT: Tabat will use the spear's 1/day ability to add +1 competence bonus to the attack, to hit AC 17.

Adding a Fort Roll vs Nauseated in case its needed here.

Khadi's divine magic courses through the area, shattering the creature's skin and doing horrible damage to it.

Tabat's followup attack with the spear doesn't do full damage against the undead horror, but it is sufficient to end it's existence.

Combat is over.

There is nothing else of interest in the courtyard.

'I have no idea what that was... That was concerning... As Khadi speaks she walks over to Iseret and starts to look at her wounds. As she does so energy flows from her hands knitting them together.
OOC:
Healers hands on Iseret. With skill unlock and that roll it 10+ Wis + ranks in planes so 18 healing.

You're unsure what it is. It's like some kind of golem that was mistaken for the undead by a greater power. (Stares out at the viewer.)

There's just one place left to check, the doors on the northside of the courtyard.

"Of course," Tabat says, placing a comforting hand on Iseret's shoulder. "Such a creature should not exist. It was mentioned these people have been experimenting with necromancy and mummification - this was clearly one such experiment. I would hate to see what else they have done, but this only cements a truth that they must be stopped."

Once everyone is ready, Tabat leads the group north.

Paizo enjoying their 'technically not undead' this ap :p
I do not know what else we are facing today but here, Khepri bless this blade' Khadi touches Iserts weapons making it glow with magic. 'This may help. I suspect we aren't talking through this one'
OOC:
Magic weapon so Iserts sword is now +1

Sour musk overpowers the smell of ash from the hearth in this large kitchen converted into a laboratory and makeshift surgery. Two sets of doors exit the room to the north, with additional double doors to the south and smaller doors to the east and west.

When you enter, you interrupt a grisly scene. A man stands over a restrained and unconscious form of a dark folk, an obsidian scalpel in hand. Three dark folk zombies stand nearby, chanting.

He turns to face you and says joyfully in Osiriani, "Welcome to my temple." To his "followers" he adds, "Restrain them for enlightenment."

They lumber over to grab you. They try to grapple Tabat but miss, but fail to get Iseret held.

You're all up.

"UnHAND ME!" Tabat shouts as the creature tries to grab at him.

With mighty effort she thrusts the spear forward and up, trying to skewer his attacker.

Andromeda moves forward next to her companion and takes a bite at the filthy creature.

Khadi's Holy magic drives the profane life from the two remaining zombies, and they crumble to the ground.

Jaware shoots the necromancer! For 15 damage
