Colten keels over as the strange warmth suddenly intensifies into pain. Even as every muscle in his body ached, the nobleman stood, and stared defiantly at the monster before him.

A bolt of fire bar whizzes by the nothic's head. A look of what you can only surmise to be annoyance spreads across his face.

Growling, the construct lunges forward with its greatsword at the strange nattering creature, "It would have been wise to kill it before." (18 vs AC, 15 Damage (4 of which is lightning)).

Jumping to its left the creature is able to avoid Colten's attack but in doing so puts itself in a perfect position to be run through by Etch's crackling blade. With a mind tingling yell it falls back into the crevice, landing with a large thud near the base of the bridge.

"Droop never liked ugly one eye!" the orange goblin proclaims as he scampers out of the back store room. "Glasstaff be long gone by now, but others here."

"Long gone? Where would he go to?"
Jan 25, 2017 8:46 pm
"Serves you right, one eyed freak." Colten says as he spits into the crevice.
Jan 25, 2017 11:17 pm
"Escaped!" Droop says.

"Powerful with magic, but big coward. Probably going to get more bugbear bastards from spider guy."
Jan 26, 2017 12:08 am
"Spider guy? Is there a beast behind this plot?" The construct looks ahead, then twitches suddenly, shudders and its plating begins to shift. A red electric glow pulses from inside, sending harmless arcs of energy into the air around it. After a moment, the constructs form stills. Its faceplate, once flat and humanlike, is now protruding and snoutlike. Red, wolf-like eyes glow from the inset sockets. Its back is arced, and legs bend backwards at the knees. A now-clawed hand grips the greatsword hilt, the electric energy surging through it now red.
OOC:
Action: Hybrid Form -- +1 to damage, advantage on strength checks, +1 AC, unarmed fists are weapons, vulnerable to silver, and if I take damage I have to make a wis save or fall into bloodlust and become forced to attack nearest living thing. Rawr.

Momentarily stunned into silence by Etch's transformation Droop slowly regains his composure.

"Spider guy tells Redbrands to scare and kidnap local. Sometimes spider guy sends bugbear bastards to to help. Droop think Glasstaff work for spider guy."
Jan 26, 2017 6:30 pm
"So Glasstaff has a boss. I suppose there is a different head to this whole operation." Colten forces a smile on his face.

"So tell us more about this "Spider guy" and where we can find him."

"Droop only know what he hear from bugbear bastards" the goblin says, shrugging his shoulders. "Don't know where he is, what he look like. He send Glasstaff orders once a while."
Jan 28, 2017 4:48 am
"Perhaps we'll have to interrogate one of these bandits a little further." Colten muses for a moment before continuing, "Alright Droop, lead on. Let's clear this place out."

Quietly speaking As long as we're quick about it. No clue what else we'll find down here.

Droop nods to Colten and motions for all you to follow him north of the cavern and into what appears to be a stockroom. There are several barrels and empty crates, along with packing straw, hammers, and nails. Apparently someone has been preparing items to be shipped. As you look about the room Droop heads of the north east corner and starts to fiddle with a few loose stones on the floor. After a moment the wall slides open and with a grin on his face the goblin asks you to keep close.

He points to a door directly across the hall, "Redbrands keep weapons there" he says before walking to the end of the hall and slowly pushing open the door. Three large stone sarcophagi stand within this dusty crypt and propped up against each is a human skeleton clad in bits of rusty mail. False columns along the walls are carved in the image of spreading oak trees. The double doors in the southeast corner are sheathed in tarnished plate.

Droop leans into the room, holding onto the doorframe as he does and points to the door in the north east corner. "Prisoners!" he says quietly, trying to keep his voice down.

Colten gives the armory quick lookover for anything useful. Hopefully the Redbrand "prisoners" can use these when the opportunity comes.
OOC:
Inspecting the armory for anything fancy or useful.

Racks of weapons line the walls of this chamber, including spears, swords, crossbows, and bolts. A dozen dirty red cloaks hang from hooks by the door.
Feb 4, 2017 5:13 pm
Seeing that none of the weapons can compare to his grace, Colten shrugs and leaves the armory to follow his companions.

Etch tries the door Droop identified as housing prisoners. If it is locked, the construct attempts to bash its way through.
