The Journey To Elegy
The Journey on the Sea of Dread toward Elegy is without incident and takes 4 full days of non-stop sailing.
Briya seems at home on the Whisker and slips seamlessly into the Whisker crew without any pushback from the pirates. On the other hand, the other freed prisoners who attempt to help are initially met with impatience from the pirates. But Admiral, who gives in-depth one-on-one instruction to Skeev during the journey, also invites the slaver-ship crew to learn some of the finer details that they couldn’t have picked up during their crash course on the smaller vessel.

When he gets a chance, Admiral sits with the necklace he found in the Nightmare’s lair along with the journal he found near the necklace:

Soul Connection Necklace
A shimmering necklace that seems to have a subtle magical aura. The necklace establishes a telepathic link between the wearer and one who allows a piece of his/her essence to enter the necklace. The two can communicate silently and vaguely through visions and dreams over any distance. This connection transcends death and remains when the souls involved are separated by realm.
The Journal found in The Nightmare’s Lair
My Dearest Eveline,
I write this journal to help myself stay calm and focussed, as my heart is heavy and filled with the burning desire for revenge. The pain of losing you to the clutches of the beast that your necklace has revealed to me in visions is a wound that festers within me, driving me to bring an end to its reign of terror.
I carry with me the weight of our memories, cherished moments that flicker in my mind like the eternal flame of a candle. Your presence remains with me, for I wear the necklace you once gifted me, the beacon that connects us even across the darkest of realms. Its magical properties guide my path, leading me to your resting place and unerringly to the heart of this malevolent creature's lair.
The vile abomination that stole you from my embrace will pay dearly. I vow to exact my revenge and put an end to its insidious reign. Its demise will be fueled by the anguish of my shattered heart.
I navigate these treacherous tunnels, haunted by the echoes of lost souls and a stench of decay that permeates the air. The very walls seem to taunt me, whispering secrets of the nightmares it has inflicted upon countless victims. But I am undeterred, driven by the memory of your sweet laughter, the warmth of your touch, and the vow we made to always find each other as you handed me the necklace.
With each step, I draw closer to our nemesis. The darkness within me converges with the darkness that surrounds me, fueling my resolve. The beast will tremble before the fury of a love scorned, and its malevolence will crumble beneath the weight of my vengeance.
When I confront this monstrosity, I will carry your spirit with me, a guardian angel guiding my every move. It is for you, my love, that I face this abomination head-on, seeking justice and solace in equal measure. No matter the outcome, our bond remains unbroken, transcending the boundaries of life and death.
May the immortals grant me the strength to fulfill my purpose, to exact revenge for your untimely departure. Our love will be the beacon that guides me through the darkest of nightmares, until I stand victorious over the shattered remains of the one who harvested your last breath.
Until we are reunited in realms beyond, my love, know that you dwell forever in the depths of my soul. With each swing of my blade, with each spell I cast, I honor you and vow to bring an end to the reign of the abomination that took you from me.
Forever yours,
Eldric

The beast’s lair... I've finally found it after days of searching every corner of the sewer system. The whispers above were true, but the reality is far worse than I imagined. These cavernous depths hold an unspeakable horror, luring unsuspecting souls into its clutches. Here your necklace has shown me visions of your abduction. Victims are drawn into a twisted dream realm, their surroundings morphing into distorted versions of their memories. I must press on and find a way to break this enchantment. I feel you…your soul embedded in the necklace. It keeps my mind clear and protected from your abductor.

In the depths of these crystalline caverns, I encountered a band of seemingly brave goblins today. They, too, seek to rid this cavern of the same foul threat. Together, we shared tales of our quest and exchanged knowledge of the abomination's powers. They call it The Nightmare. We united in our determination to vanquish the Nightmare and free the trapped souls it ensnares. With their aid, I feel a renewed sense of hope.
…
My goblin allies understand the dangers that lurk within this nightmarish realm and fight to keep their kind unscathed. They have lost much. But we have uncovered a clue—a blind spot in the Nightmare's perception. It cannot see, and this vulnerability may be the key to our victory. We plan our strategy, combining our strengths and coordinating our efforts.
…
The battle draws near, and our alliance grows. The goblins and I stand ready to face the abomination that has plagued this cavern for far too long. Our resolve is strong. Together, we will confront The Nightmare, sever its hold on the trapped souls, and restore peace to these accursed depths. Our resolve transcends our differences, and we fight as one. ...
When the opportunity arises Tasya thanks Admiral for his part in helping her and her companions escape from Jahore.
Later, she spends time with Jin, who is like a brother to her. She thanks him for the cloak and offers it back.
"Hold on to it," he says.
"I have an unsettling feeling that there is much more danger to come for us all. Yet, I don’t know exactly what that danger may be. I can’t shake this feeling that you and I have different roles to fulfill and will be separated again. I must believe my grandfather acts on the side of good and there is purpose to all this chaos. If fate makes it so I cannot remain by your side, I'd rather you keep the cloak. It may serve you again. But know that its power wanes with each use. You remember how I used to wear it for the better part of our show, helping all acts go smoothly while remaining unseen by the audience? No longer."
