'You sure your parents friend lives here? Doesn't look like someone does..at least not something who cares about security or their garden.? Emilia whisper back through the fence.

At Robbie declaration her cheeks go red slightly and she looks away with a nervous chuckle. 'Its just a house. Neither of us need protection'

But then why hadn't Freddie come back? Still she wasn't going to go looking like a coward in front of of these two. She had an image to uphold. So she takes a deep breath and starts to lead the way inside.

Sorry deleted my previous post. I jumped the gun assuming Robbie and Emilia went into the house.

Hope you saved it as they are now :p At least Emilia. My own post posted a bit too early so just quickly edited.

Robbie follows closely behind Emilia, glad the popular girl is now taking the lead.

I rolled SNEAK for both characters as they walked into the house. I should have mentioned it ahead of time, and I'll try to give you a heads up of what rolls are needed before hand so you can make them. No successes for either character.
As Emilia cautiously steps into the kitchen, Robbie follows suit. However, as Emilia moves forward, she stumbles and accidentally sends an empty glass precariously teetering on the edge of the counter. Robbie, trailing behind, freezes in her steps, her eyes locked onto the glass as it threatens to tumble to the floor.

Both characters can push their SNEAK rolls which will result in them gaining a condition. Success for Emilia means she prevents the glass from falling. Success for Robbie means she remembers to slowly close the screen door instead of allowing it to shut too quickly. Failure for either character means that they are not sneaky and alert the house.

OOC:
I'd be okay with allowing the failure to happen, but if Light prefers to try and be sneaky, I'll use a Luck to try and reroll

Btw, where did you roll the dice? I don't see them

-Tanya-
As Tanya waits near the fence, she is startled by the sound of flapping wings. Freddie, lands gracefully beside her followed by another pigeon. "Oh, hello," he says cheerfully. "I've found some worms! Would you like to see?" The second pigeon, apparently drawn by the mention of worms, joins in, declaring, "I love worms!"

Freddie, with his metallic voice then inquires, "What are you doing?" as he fixes his gaze on Tanya.

OOC:
I rolled them earlier and then @LightOfMidnight almost immediately posted where her character wasn't walking into the house. So, I panicked and deleted the post! In retrospect, I could have just hidden the roll.

Ah, post confusion. Happens to the best of us 😄

She starts responding to Emilia, "Yes, Gunnar and Lena live at this address... Are you sure it's abandoned?"

Then, as Freddie shows up with a pigeon friend she calls the others, "Hey! Freddy just landed here with some worms and a pigeon friend..."

Then to Freddy, "What am I doing? What are YOU doing! We told you to check if you could see anyone in the house!"

-Tanya-
Freddie gazes up at Tanya and says, "I did check. She's inside with her very scary dog. She's holding some kind of weapon. You shouldn't go in there."

As Tanya stands near the fence, she hears a sudden crash from within the house, accompanied by the ominous growls and barks of a dog, followed by a piercing scream from a young woman.

Freddie continues to speak, seemingly unfazed by the commotion. "What do you want to do now? Go look for worms?" His tone carries a touch of nonchalance, in stark contrast to the chaotic sounds coming from the house.

The glass cup hits the floor and shatters with a piercing sound, breaking the silence that envelops the kitchen. In the aftermath, the screen door slams shut with a resounding thud as Robbie steps inside. A sudden jingling sound reaches their ears, signaling the approach of a dog. Emerging from the doorway, a growling dachshund charges toward Emilia, who is at the forefront. Simultaneously, the young woman appears in another doorway, her scream filling the air.

In a defensive posture, she clutches a tennis racket with both hands and shouts, "Get out! I'm not afraid to hurt you!" Her eyes are wide with fear and determination.

Emilia has to deal with the dog. Failure will result in two conditions: injury and scared. Feel free to suggest any solution and make a roll for it. A couple of ideas that come to mind are picking up the dog (FORCE), shoving the dog aside (FORCE), moving out of the way (MOVE).

Robbie is behind Emilia and isn’t in immediate danger. However, she can step in to deal with the dog or try to deal with the young woman.

Robbie is frozen for a moment as the whole scene changed in an instant. But then she remembers her promise to Emilia and she tries to get in front of the other girl, putting herself in the middle for protection. She shoves - maybe a bit too rough, but it's hard to control at her size - Emilia out of the way to block her from harm.
OOC:
Not sure if you want any roll here and whether Emilia lets this happen or not. But basically, Robbie tries to protect Emilia like she said she would.

OOC:
Let's wait and see what @LightOfMidnight says that Emilia would do with Robbie stepping in. My initial thought is that Robbie is close enough to take Emilia's place, and Robbie can make a FORCE roll to handle the dog.

Emilia, however, has a couple of options since the dog is targeting her and she's doesn't have anything in front of her to impede her action.
Oct 2, 2023 3:09 pm
Emilia reacts before she can fully take in what is happening, just rapidly backing away from shape suddenly moving towards her, forget that Robbie is behind her until she is suddenly moved behind the taller girl with a startled yelp.
OOC:
Happy for her to be moved by Robbie, she isn't used to these kind of situations so wouldn't really be able to resist

As soon as she's pushed past Emilia, Robbie raises her arms defensively to defend herself against the dog and shove him away if he jumps her.

In a swift and assertive motion, Robbie nudges the dachshund aside and positions herself protectively between the small dog and Emilia. The dachshund, seemingly intimidated, retreats momentarily and refrains from making any immediate aggressive moves. It now becomes evident that the dog is moving with a noticeable limp.

Meanwhile, the young woman maintains her stance in the doorway, clutching the tennis racket firmly with both hands. A fleeting moment of stillness hangs in the air, providing both Robbie and Emilia with a brief opportunity to decide on their next course of action.
OOC:
Unless there is something else you would prefer, I think the bonus success grants:

You don’t need to roll to overcome the exact same Trouble in the future. In this instance, the dog will no longer be a problem for Robbie and Emilia.

OOC:
Works for me.

Emilia, do you want to do the talking?
Oct 2, 2023 4:27 pm
It takes Emilia a few moments to calm down enough to make sense if the situation. She was behind Robbie, saw, not being mauled by a dog.

A few mor moment of deep breaths and she peers out from around behind the farm girl, though keeping her between Emilia and the dog, a hand on her back for reassurance.

'Everyone calm down dog include. We didn't think anyone was here. I mean not that we were breaking in just. We lost our pet, and we were looking for them, and we saw the door was ajar and that isn't usual so we were worried something was wrong or that Freddie had snuck in. ' A lie littered with some truth.
