Chapter 5: Breaking Tusks

You can hear Shaggy long before you can see him. What at first sounds like thunder is his heavy snoring. He awake with a startle as you enter the tent, and it is hard not to hold back a laugh as you see his face. While he always have been wearing colorful feather's in his beard, someone seems to have taken that as inspiration, as all of his beard have been dyed in different colors, seemingly without rhyme or reason. Some red, some green and even shades of purple litter his face.

He stifles a yawn and looks confused by the looks in your eyes. "What have you come to wake Shaggy for?" he asks in his slow monotone voice. "And what's with the look in your eyes?"

"Hmmmmm," Shaggy says, spending a long moment just thinking and stroking a hand through his beard. It comes off discolored by the dye in the beard. Noticing the color for the first time he make a guffawing noise. "My beautiful beard! What fould creature would do such a thing. What will my belowed think when she sees me?!"

"Bah! They don't deserve gift for the way they have disfigured me! They give better than they receive," Shaggy sighs and pulls on his beard as if he can get out all the color that way. "I have heard of people turning the fey's trickery back on them and they have backed down. There also a special iron that can scare us off. Though I cannot abide by sinking so low. Even though they rightly deserve it."

"Yes. I think I could lure them," Shaggy answers once he's calmed down. "YI saw you learn snares from your scoutmaster when I first arrived. Have you kept up your skills? If not I have a trick with my hair I could try."

"And do you have anything worthwhile to offer?"

Wipakoa sees you discussing and comes over. "I can make the snare for you, but you will have to deal with whatever it catches," she says. Then she turns to Iroven. "And if you pay attention, I could teach you like I have taught many others over the years."
