Chapter 5: Breaking Tusks

The creature screams in pain from Artesia's mental attack.
Stalker05 says:
OOC: Is there a chance that this was a critical success for Trip?
OOC:
Sadly not. The DC was 21
It failed its Will save, but it has to crit fail to become stunned.

Will Save - (1d20+13)

"Alright, Haitith, let's get you up to this thing's size!" As Koram's magic works its way through Haitith, the eidolon grows in stature to face the bipedal creature. Haitith gnashes at the enemy with his jaws, then whips his tail at it.
OOC:
Actions 1-2: Act Together - Koram Casts Enlarge on Haitith, then Haitith Strikes
Action 3: Haitith Strikes again!

Making Haitith 'Large' with the spell and giving him 10ft reach, I believe will place him in position so he shouldn't have to move to attack - please let me know if that's wrong. Haitith also gains Clumsy 1.

@mindgoneferal Just Tomas left to go.

The animal rushes up to Haitih and regurgitates a nasty combination of acid and bits of bones over the eidolon. (Haitith: 11 bludgeoning + 7 acid damage; basic Reflex DC 20 for half, sickened 1 on fail [Sickened 2 on crit fail])

Then it tries to gore Haitih with one of his tusks. It hits and makes a wound in the dragon’s side (Haitith: 11 piercing damage).

Then the big bipedal creature tries to get up, opening himself up to a reactive strike from Iroven. Once up the creature makes two mighty swings with its claws at the fighter in front of it. The first one hits with devastating results, but Iroven is able to keep his wits about him and dodges the second claw. (Iroven: 18 slashing damage)
OOC:
Iroven can take a reactive strike and Haitith must make a DC 20 Reflex save. Then you are all up again.

OOC: Damn! this thing hits like a truck! Couple of questions. I didn't have the shield raised so I can't shield block right? I have to raise the shield first in order to shield block? Am I correct? Next, the second attack scored 22 so I am guessing that one hits too? If I can't shield block then I will do the reactive strike.

Switching tactics to keep her foes disoriented. Artesia now elects to hurl a bone spray at the quadruped. She will use three actions to cast the Heightened version.

OOC:
Yeah, need to raise shield first. I forgot to reduce the second attack by 5, so it is in fact just a 17.

As the creature stood up Iroven took the opportunity to strike at it. But, the next hit from the large bipedal creature knocked the wind out from his lungs. Reeling in pain, he drew his shield and raised it following up with another slashing attack from his bastard sword.

OOC: 1 action to draw shield, 1 action to raise and another to attack. If Tomas is flanking then the reactive strike will hit.

As the big creature got up from the ground, Iroven let loose with a strike. The creature busy with protecting itself from both Iroven and Tomas can’t see it coming. Then Iroven draws his shield before following up with another swing that hits easily.

The animal tries to dart out of the way of Artesia’s bone spray.

The Haitith lets loose with two blows that the big creature is easily able to dodge.

Tomas sees an opening however, and is able to skewer it with his antler. He follows up with an attempt to trip the large creature, but unable to get a good hold and ends up falling to the ground himself.

The animal goes mad and tramples forward, smashing into Artesia and Koram. (Artesia and Koram must make a DC 20 basic Reflex save or take 6 damage)

The large bipedal creature roars in pain and anger before letting loose with a hard strike at Iroven, before following up with two more strikes at Tomas which the barbarian is able to jump out the way from. (Iroven: 24 damage [can shield block or go to dying 1])
OOC:
That Athletics roll was a crit fail, and the effect is that you fall down. I am willing to let you change your last action to get back up if you want Tomas.

Iroven, you can shield block if you want. If not you take 24 damage, if you shield block you and the shield take 19 damage.

The animal makes a three action trample activity which means you have to make a DC 20 Reflex save as it runs through your squares.

You are all up again.

Iroven knew that the blow was coming so he raised the shield to block it. However he was not prepared for the tremendous impact which bent and cracked his shield. The massive impact drove the momentum and strained his elbow joints as the pain resonated through his entire body. He knew that if the shield was not there this would have been a fatal injury. But things were getting out of hand. He won't survive much longer with this so he dropped his damaged shield and held the bastard sword with two hand. Gripping his bastard sword tightly, Iroven used his entire strength to swing viciously at the bipedal creature putting all his strength on this one attack.

OOC: I know that aggressive block happens at creature of same or smaller size. But, I have the titan wrestler, can it occur in this case? I know it is too much to ask but what do you think?

OOC:
I'll allow it. The creature chooses to be off guard, rather than be moved. It seems to be in a rage of some kind.

Koram feels the weight of the animal as it charges past him, driving the wind out of him. He grits his teeth and, not liking his position, moves around to put Haitith between him and the animal while the eidolon continues to bare down on the biped.
OOC:
Action 1: Koram strides to 5ft north of Haitith's right side
Free Action: Extend Boost (looks like a crit success, so Boost Eidolon will last 4 rounds)

Through a series of devastating and skillful blows, you are able to fell the bipedal creature. It falls to the ground with a thud as Tomas gores it with his antlers.

The remaining animal seems to calm down and lowers its posture to one of fear.
OOC:
@WhtKnt You still have your action left.

Iroven collapsed to the ground supporting his weight with the bastard sword and reeling over in pain. "I guess, now we know what led to the situation of the previous caravan. Since, it's a dead end, we have to circle back again."
