Sardis says:
@WhiteDwarf: In relation to your character as a whole, how significant is your face/persuasion function as I don't want to step on something if it is a primary focus of your character? I have an idea for a slight twist on my Warlock concept that would still focus on ranged Eldritch blast attacks; but would also be very effective in the face department (Changeling with the Charlatan background and the actor feat; he will have performance with a +15 modifier and persuasion/deception/intimidation will all have +19 +20 modifiers and he will have the ability to telepathically speak to any visible creature within 30 feet without need of a shared language as long as they speak a language).
I dunno how primary of a focus it is, if I can persuade/face then I’ll try and do it. It’s just one of those skill sets paladins have of course, so it’s there. Feel free to take that as well if you wish, we can use Help actions for one another if needed, and/or if one of us can’t get to post in-time the other of us can cover it. Should be just fine. :)

Edit - But thank you for asking me about it. I understand some players can be a bit…proprietary(?) about Roles and such. This one time, at band camp, I played a Cleric and made an Arcana check, and the Wizard’s player flamed me about it lol. I wanted to be all like, dude just bc my character’s well-rounded and I’m playing like a champ, don’t take your inner anger out on me lol.

Sounds good! And I've been the guy who unintentional made a character that overlapped another character's "function" and had them blow up on me about it...so I try to be sure before I commit to a character concept.

I'll have a character to submit in the next day or two!

Jerinvar:

Changeling (Charlatan)

Rogue 1
Cleric 1 (Twilight Domain)
Ranger (Fey Wanderer) 3
Goolock 10

10 skill proficiencies (3 with expertise or equivalent), 3 tool proficiencies, 10 cantrips, Eldritch Blast with 5 Blast enhancing Invocations.

Can push or pull an opponent 10' per eldritch blast that hits, and each successful hit dealing 1d10+5 dmg (3 blasts per turn) and slows the target by 10'...so can slow/push away a charging opponent or slow/pull closer a fleeing opponent.

With unlimited range darkvision he can target opponents from up to 300' away at night

Actor feat

+20 deception/intimidation/persuasion
+15 performance
+10 perception/insight/investigation/survival
+8 stealth/Sleight of Hand

Proficient with thieves tools, disguise kits, and Forgery kits

Glamoured Studded Leather
Stone of Good Luck
Headband of Intellect (as INT is otherwise 8)
Gauntlets of Ogre Power (as STR is otherwise 6)

So can assume the form of any small/medium Humanoid-shaped being (general or even a specific individual) and his clothes will change as well, and he can even immitate their voice and speech patterns.

Well, there's a list of the highlights of the character I'm putting together.

For my magic items, can I have : Cloak of Displacement (R), Greatsword of Warning (UC), Mithral Platemail (UC), and Broom of Flying (UC)?

Sure, just remind me of your cloack when we engage into any fight so I don't forget to roll at disadvantage.

Side note: I plan to spend some time prettying the character sheet up...but for now, I think all the info is there...still have over 5K of unspent Gold.

It was mentioned much earlier that it's fine if you have unspent gold. You never know when you might need it (bribe, travel expense, etc.)

You do not have permission to post in this thread.
