I used chatgpt for my description...

What does everyone have in their school bag?
Nov 3, 2023 6:59 pm
That's a darn good question. I haven't been able to find a list or do we wing that part? Like pens, pencils, notebooks, favorite token, photo of home kind of thing?
Nov 3, 2023 7:13 pm
things of relevance. What do you carry around with you?
Nov 3, 2023 7:21 pm
Well let's see. Pens, pencils, and her wand of course. A notebook, an old-fashioned feather quill pen, crystals, a dog-eared book of spells and a potion bottle.

Let me know if I am moving too fast or too slow.
If it is okay that I call one of you out to have a particular reaction to something like I just did? I still feel that we are developing the school and your characters, and sometimes it helps to be prodded

I am happy with the pace as is.
Nov 4, 2023 1:37 pm
same, pace is good

Pace is good, prodding is good :-)

I have added a short rules reference, for your convenience.
As previously stated, if you haven't placed your stats yet, as you are still figuring out your character, then set the stats when you are going to use them. But once used they are set.

Quick Rules Reference

If we roll for a spell and roll +4 like your example can we shape the effect to add more DURATION OF EFFECT, or AREA OF EFFECT?

Can we cast something to be Instantaneous and you roll +3 over can you change it to be Day-Long +3?

Nope. I have added the table Guidelines for Success or Failure for Spell Checks

For a +4:
Quote:
The character casts the spell but not impressively. Sure, it works, but it’s clear that the character put serious effort into making it succeed. The spell functions as expected.
For example, the caster turns their attention to the cup of tea and furrows their brow. They raise their wand steadily at the cup, murmur the correct incantations, and, as they hold the wand there, it takes a few moments for the tea to come to a boil. A few beads of sweat appear on their brow

I was planning to kick off the adventure this evening, but I'm to tired to write the opening post for Act 1
Nov 6, 2023 7:41 pm
No worries and thanks for letting us know.

Thanks for the update, and as Windyridge said, no worries at all! It is hard to GM these games if you don't allow yourself some downtime to deal with real-life stuff from time to time. :-)
