Buff is rather inrerested in killed constructs. Artificer inspect warforged mechanisms with true interest. He is also trying to figure out based on clues on their bodies as well as train schedule if they came to town by train or by foot
OOC:

Buff inspects the bodies of the fallen warforged. He notices that despite their rough appearance, they appear to be much cleaner than many of the scavengers around the Little Hen tavern. Upon, closer inspection, you find the captain has a coin purse containing fifty silver, as well as a rail schedule from Salvation Outpost.

Aha! They are expected to return with morning train. Buff talks aloud though not addressing anyone. When they won't...

Bafrag thinks we either start moving unless we decide going by first train tomorrow morning, but he is too shy to suggest/insist on any.

Nictorah says:
37’s lightning envelopes the remaining warforged. Conducted through his armour plating and singeing the wooden fibres beneath. The soldier grunts and convulses, but steadies himself on his sword to stop from falling to the floor. "The Becoming God… will... judge you…", though not breathing, he struggles against the pain to look 37 in the eyes and admonish him.
"The gods are false. There is only the Divinity Within." Ser Armat said as he stopped his advance on the final dying warforged, another having finished it before he could. His eyes then followed 37 as it stepped outside, but he made no hostile move towards it.
crazybirdman says:
Vice says to Armat, "Thank you sir, I did not, in fact, have the situation handled."
The Red Knight turned around, shouldering his halberd and looking Vice up and down with a cautious eye.
"Perhaps you would illuminate me, good man, why these warforged took an interest to you? Are you the changeling they sought? Or do you have prior dealings with their ilk?"

SheK helps clean up the mess, "Well at least we didn't mess up this place much."

"I can heal some if anyone wishes it." She can cast up to 3 cure wounds.

"I'm sure we just left a mark. And with tons of witnesses no less." SheK muses.

She turns to Kleber & Vice, "So. We be leaving here soon."

Peldan's attention shifted towards SheK as she offered her healing abilities to those in need. Despite his own injuries, he recognized the importance of prioritizing the well-being of the patrons who had been caught in the crossfire at the beginning of the skirmish, as well as any of the others who had bravely joined in the defense of his inn and its guests.

"Your offer of healing is most appreciated, SheK," Peldan replied, his voice tinged with gratitude. "However, I believe it is crucial that we tend to the injured patrons and the rest of those who fought to protect this establishment first. Their well-being should take precedence."

He glanced over at the two patrons who had been assaulted earlier, concern etching his features. "Let us ensure that they receive the care they require. Once they are attended to, and any others who have valiantly defended this place, then I will gladly accept your healing aid."

Peldan's focus remained on the welfare of others, putting their needs before his own. He understood the importance of tending to the wounded and ensuring that everyone felt safe and cared for before departing from the scene of the battle.

Of the patrons in the tavern, only the two in the soldiers way appear to be injured. The man shoved to the floor is gingerly rubbing his sciatic as he limps back to his seat to resume his drink. The table and food mostly destroyed, his pint seems miraculously untouched.

The one gentleman thrown over the table, sits at the bar being tended to by Fauntleroy and appears to have an arm injury.

Only a few customers insist on calling the guards, the rest appear unconcerned. You get the impression that while this is not a common occurrence at this tavern, the majority of its scavenger guests have seen such altercations before. Nonetheless, two leave to go fetch the town guard.

SheK says to Fauntleroy, "Allow me. I have healing skills." as she sees the injured man. She will cast a cure wounds or two if needed.

Armat says:

"Perhaps you would illuminate me, good man, why these warforged took an interest to you?"
"Oh, I dont think they were interested in me specifically. They just assume we are the fastest path to reclaim what they've lost. Vice replies keeping it intentionally vague. He then heads over to where SheK is helping guest, in case there's enough healing for him also.

SheK is indeed a stranger person. She is so noticeable when she wants too and the rest of the time she fades into the furniture of the room. Perhaps it is the fey in her. Strangely she is person that is hard to recall or even meeting unless she interacts with you. Even those that saw her in the combat would have hard time recalling that she was there. And none would really be able to describe her.

She makes an effort to make sure each of the party members knows her as she is well aware of her fey'ness. And it is worse too as she trained herself well in how to be unnoticed and it is well ingrained her actions. She is a master at just blending in. Even her clothing is that of what you would expect a common person here to wear. With her other gear that makes her less common.

Looks like SheK may will be dropping a cure wounds on the injured man, Vice & Peldan for her three cure wounds. She does pack a wallop in her cures. A sharper eye would note she draws on upon her fey'ness when she heals. Just something she can't avoid.

Oh. She also is thanks on the fairy fire casted as she was going to do that as well. Lets her save for cure wounds. She also appears to have a fondness for Kleber. Perhaps because they both are Half-orcs. And perhaps secretly she too is a dragonmarked finder. She will revert to speaking on Orcish if Kleber favors that. She is fluent in both common and orcish. Other languages too if it was known.

You hear a loud crack of a bone snapping back into place. The gentleman flexes his hand and nods in approval. "Thank you, Ma’am. That saves me a trip to the healer.", Fauntleroy replaces the man’s drink, "It’s been awhile since we’ve seen raiders in town. Not a surprise, really. We’re close enough that we can see the grey mists from here."

He raises his stein to SheK and takes a drink.

"Just remember how good this place treats you." She nods to the man before she vanishes back to the party. While she is there, she too gets a drink to take with her and a pitcher for the group. She tries to be sociable.

SheK approached Peldan, her healing magic ready to be bestowed upon him. As she channeled her restorative powers, Peldan felt a surge of warmth envelop his body. It was his first experience with magical healing, and he marveled at the sensation as the wound inflicted by the javelin to his ribs vanished completely, leaving behind only the memory of its occurrence. The pain dissipated, replaced by a renewed sense of vitality.

Peldan couldn't contain his gratitude and joy. "SheK, that was incredible! Thank you!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with genuine appreciation. He took a moment to revel in the absence of pain, relishing in the newfound energy coursing through his veins.

With a renewed vigor, Peldan's attention turned to the patrons who had witnessed the attack. Realizing the need to redirect their thoughts and restore a sense of normalcy, he raised his voice, projecting across the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, I offer you a round of drinks on the house! Let us put this unfortunate event behind us and continue to enjoy the warmth and camaraderie of this fine establishment!"

Peldan then shifted his attention to Vice and the others, his expression turning serious. "We must address the matter of the warforged bodies strewn across the floor. It is likely that the authorities will soon arrive, and we must determine the best course of action."

He pondered the possibilities, his mind racing with potential solutions. "Is there a chance that they could be bound and revived? Or have they met their untimely end? At the very least, can we move them somewhere that isnt within the direct line of sight of my customers? Theyve been through enough...and seeing these bodies laying here can't help in getting their spirits back up."

Peldan's concern for the fate of the warforged bodies reflected his compassionate nature, even towards those who had posed a threat. He knew that a decision had to be made swiftly, taking into account both the practicalities and ethical considerations of their situation.

Vice thanks SheK for the healing "Much obliged, I feel as if I was never stabber at all. But I was, to be clear." After the crowd starts to resume their activities, helped along by a free drink of course, Vice turns back to the group, "I suppose we could dump them in the mists. Of course that just makes them someone else's problem. Although, burial rites for warforged isn't exactly my area of expertise."

"I would think a quick cart trip is in order." Seems she might of done such before. Cleanup is sometimes needed in her profession.

The Red Knight was doubtful about the honesty of the folk he traveled with. The Blades had singled them out for a reason, he was sure. But that did not mean their intent was foul. In fact, if this band was in conflict with the Blades that hardly spoke ill of their character. Still, Ser Armat preferred honesty.

The question of what to do with the Warforged remains was not one to ask of him. In the war what remains of the false men were salvageable were collected and re-used. The intact ones were raised to fight their former side. Certainly no one bothered with burial. Especially not in Karrnath. Even their own dead were raised to fight Cyre and its allies. Thus he stood aside and let the others deal with it while he returned to pondering the map..

Dwarf stay practical Fauntleroy and guards could take care of those we stopped from bullying people. Can't you? he ask Fauntleroy.

He then turns to those who were fighting and remind them of the obvious
We must focus on enemies still alive! There are still quite few of them, don't be fulled by this easy victory! he pause considering something and then asks: So do we take next train or try to sneak in the town by foot? If train I'd have a drink.

Buff realizes he already has the answer for a plan involving the lightning rail. The rail schedule he found shows the warforged must have arrived on the last train for the day. The next train to Salvation will leave midmorning tomorrow.
Nov 19, 2023 12:03 am
Vice sighs at just the thought of walking to town, "I don't think a rigorous walk is in order, especially if there may be another battle waitong for us. Let's take the rail. While the Blades there wait for the Blades here to check in, we can use that confusion to escape, or attack." he says while trying to balance a chakram on on finger.
Nov 19, 2023 12:09 am
SheK adds in, "Besides. We can knock off a few more of them at the railway. Surely, they will not all be there."
