Salvation Outpost - Chapter 2

Eleven pulls Nine out of the way of the Vice’s attack. The little gnome then continues scurrying down the street.

Peldan’s spell glances off the Warforged arm. She flinches for a moment, before shaking it off.

Eight abandons his javelin and dashes to catch up with Sheriff.

Armat’s attacks ring through the streets. He finds his mark with one of the attacks.

Having already reloaded, Buff sits, waiting for his next move.

Meanwhile, on the north side, Seven continues his pursuit of Sheriff on to Third Avenue. He takes two more swings at the outnumbered lawman. Sheriff manages to dodge the first swipe, but the second swing of the guard’s sword hits Sheriff in the ribs with a loud *thwack*

Armat’s polearm strikes nine for the second time with a crunching blow. The Warforged is looking hurt from the impact.

Heeding Kleber’s command, Garundah stays poised to fire the cannon.

Seeing the strike against her partner, Eleven steps up to Armat to join her comrade, also taking two swings at the red knight. The first strike finds its mark with a solid blow to Armat’s shoulder. His armour holds up, but the impact jars him. As the second strike comes in, the paladin blocks it, breaking the warforge’s sword in half. She stares blankly at the shard.

Titaness in her haste to seek cover realizes her two escorts have not followed. She takes cover behind a small house and shouts an order for them to move up the street. One snaps to at her order and immediately moves up the street, leaving the other behind.

37 meanwhile, steps out, but at this range, the lightning crackles just wide of Eight.

As SheK’s blows nearly cripple her target, she watches an arrow explode from the guard’s forehead and pass under her arm. The warforged collapses in a heap as the light leaves his eyes. In his place, Kleber’s silhouette sits atop the jailhouse in the distance.

The far escort rushes to keep up with his cohort.

Sheriff tries to break free of the persuing guards, but Seven is able to slash him in the shoulder. He makes a dash for the Grey Beyond. Turning, he fires two more shorts from his weapon, hoping to finish the wound patroller. Both shots disappear into the soldier’s chest and he falls.

Ten darts down the alley, hoping flank his adversaries.

With a brilliant white flash, Vice watches the corner of the house splinter from the impact of the giant’s staff. As the wooden shrapnel settles, the tiny gnome looks up at the massive form of Titaness. Her gaze follows the length of her staff as she points it directly at the brazen circus performer.

As Sheriff makes for his escape, Eight having just watched his partner get killed, also notices the other warforged bodies scattered throughout the street. Emboldened, he charges after Sheriff. He violently slashes at the retreating lawman’s back, slicing through his leather coat and through his armour. The embattled Sheriff can’t help but let out a grunt of pain.

Peldan’s blasts down the street, hitting bakery in the distance.

Eleven tries to parry Armat’s attack with her broken sword, to no avail. The knight slams the warforged solidly in the shoulder with loud crunch.

Atop the jailhouse, Buff points to Sheriff below, "The Sheriff may be in for some trouble…"

Garundah follows Buff’s gesture and shouts, "Turn this rig that way!", Buff pushes the cannon, aiming at the guard chasing Sheriff.
