Fast moving fey SheK fully removes herself from the hair frizzing hot flaming sphere's heat range and sweetly dances around faerie fired Skeleton 1 to misguide it and cause it to be fully off guard to her vicious assault with her smashing & slaying warhammer. She meaningfully lays into the soon to be broken Skeleton with destructive warhammer's force while keeping full concentration on her helpful faerie fire casting.
OOC:
SheK moves to D16 by taking the E row pathway. She attacks with a one handed warhammer advantage attack on Skeleton 1 and Extra attack on it. Both hit with 26 & 22 respectively doing 17 bludgeoning damage & 5 psychic damage for total of 22 damage. She continues to concentration on faerie fire.

Hanging from the ceiling gives the spider owl a different perspective. Malak notices two short, rune covered obelisks at the entrance to the stairs. Unlike the rest of the chamber, which is dusty and falling apart, these two stone artifacts appear untouched by time.

Returning to the floor, Malak reverted back to his Owlin form and approached the two small Obelisks. He brought forth a spell that would allow him to see any magic emanating from them and if, as he suspected, he might see the magical connection from them to the skeletons. Should that be the case he will call to his companion's and explain what he'd observed and suggest they remove the Obelisks from the area.

OOC:

Movement = move to the floor and approach Obelisks

Bonus Action = Reverts back to Owlin form. His HP revert back to his Owlin forms HP (47/47).

Action = Cast Detect Magic

"free" Action = Communicate his findings briefly and ask for help moving the Obelisks out of the area.

Malak senses magic coming from within the obelisks. The closer he gets, the stronger it feels.

Turning back towards his companions he calls out, "Umm, guys... I think these Obelisks have something to do with reanimating the skeletons... they are emanating magic which gets stronger as I get closer to them... We might want to get them away from here." The Owlin waits for the others to weigh in before attempting to move one of the Obelisks up the stairs and away from the crypt.

Is there currently a skeletal threat? the last update shows all 5 dead.
Peldan wasn't going to be of much help with moving the Obelisks given his short stature and lack of...'muscles'.

With Malak's words, Peldan moves to one of the obelisks and attempts to move it as suggested.

The object seems firmly solidly rooted in place. It seems unlikely that it will move. Peldan assumes the other one behind him is similarly grounded in place.

Despite their heads being locked up, 37 notices the telltale sign of the bones of the two remaining skeletons beginning to rattle.
OOC:
Couple things, is flaming sphere still up? Currently you’re both inside its effects.

If you wish to move out, you both have movement, or you can move the sphere.

Otherwise, 37 is up, with Vice on deck.

I think it still has 6 turns remaining. Will keep it alive just in case something else happens that it may be useful for. Will move it away as a bonus action: move flaming sphere to a location more than 5' from all others. I think E14 works??

Sorry, been trying to think of what to do and got sidetracked trying to escape our little heat wave. (I recommend a Dairy Queen -- or similar establishment -- that doesn't care if you loiter.)

Meaning to ask... iirc, magic items (outside of legendary artifact-type items) are considered resistant to damage. That means beating on one hard enough should break it. Shatter comes to mind, but it doesn't mention an unattended magical item. What's frustrating is we have plenty of spells that mention how they work when repairing broken magical items... but almost nothing on how to break said items.

In 3e (and 4e?), magical items are nearly invincible. Thats not so in 5e.

Take whack if you wish, melee or magic.

37 will wait a moment to allow people to move back as he judges his placement, centering the focal point before casting...

Malak and Peldan heed 37’s warning and move clear of the warforged. Centring between the two objects, a rumble begins to grow. The sound in the chamber is deafening as the rolling thunder echoes throughout. The bones rattle in the floor, dust falls from the ceiling and 37 watches a few cracks begin to form in the obelisks.

As the din settles, the two skeletons fumble on the floor, searching for weapons. The scattering has thrown their swords too far for the headless creatures to find. Instead, they rise to their feet, their bony hands balled into fists.
OOC:
The skeletons are dead and blind. Attacks have advantage against them.

Vice is up, with the skeletons on deck.
