"Any chance for another one of those fire spheres or something like it? Be nice to have some sort of offense ready"
OOC:
Vice can hussle over and unlock the door if everyone is ready. He'sprobably not strong enough to move the (dead for who knows how long) skeleton away from the doorAug 15, 2024 3:18 am
OOC:
37, let me know how you inspect the book. Vice, are you opening K20 or L21? K20 has a DC of 15, since you’ve been through it before, it would be with advantage.
L21 has a stronger lock. DC is 18.

Let's try the one he hasn't been through yet, L21Rolls

37 takes a closer look at the book. It is not opened, but sitting closed on a simple stone pedestal. It is bound in a iron cover with intricate engravings of what seem to be interwoven chains. Despite its apparent age and thick layer of dust and dirt, it is rust free. The cover of the book is untitled.
Meanwhile, Vice gives the door a once over and easily picks the lock. The notices a second keyhole concealed behind a carving of a spectral hand. Recognizing the trap, he picks the second lock as well. He hears two clicks overhead, looking up, the gnome sees two small, stone dragons pointing directly at him. They appear deactivated. All this is done so quietly, the scratching on the other side of the door is uninterrupted.
Malak is up, with SheK on deck

Vice dramatically announces "The door is unlocked. You may enter at your liesure" but doesn't open it himself.

SheK cast Faerie Fire into the room and then steps to K22 to make way for others. Concentrating on Faerie Fire. DC 15 to avoid. She tries to color them blue.

Odd question, but is the obelisk in the room outlined by faerie fire as well?Aug 20, 2024 2:25 pm
OOC:
not an odd question a very valid question. Judging by the wording, yes, obelisk is glowing. I will say attacks against the obelisk advantage.Aug 20, 2024 3:05 pm
37 moves away from the book, into the hallway to see what's beyond the door. The blue-glowing obelisk is immediately noticeable, and 37 focuses his attacks on it much as he had the previous structures.
