Rather than skimming, Peldan simply takes a thorough read of the first few pages. It doesn't take him long to realize that it is the diary of Vera. The spectre that had touched him and shared with him an insight into her existence that to his knowledge only two had ever had...himself and Armat. His thought go to the knightly fellow and, though the man seemed not to care for him much, that shared experience bound Peldan to him in some way...yet he could not comprehend, let alone explain it.
Upon realizing that the diary belonged to Very, he was reminded of the sensation of her "presence?" earlier, when they'd activated trap within the book and chains had emerged from within it, trapping 37s hand and suspending him in the air by it.
"I too would like to read this when time permits.
It was written by a spectre that was imprisoned within the church. I had followed Armat there and in the encounter with her ghost, it touched me and shared some of her past with me in that moment of contact.
Once you've read it, and anyone else that wishes too, may I have it. That experience was very important to me, and having something of hers would mean a lot to me." OOC:
my memory may be off, but do the tarot cards Peldan has have a connection to the vistani?
