Salvation Outpost - Chapter 2

The group makes their way back up the stairs, leaving the chamber behind. They pass the fallen wolves and return to the hallway. Having been through this door before, Vice has no issues opening the locked door before them.

As the door creaks open, the group see a small central chamber, with four pillars. The room has a set of stairs on each side and heavy door directly across from them. 37 can tell the ethereal figure is in that locked room. Vice would remember the room to his right is where he had previously dropped down from the hill outside and that this is where he was first greeted by the undead protectors of this catacomb. The stairs to their left remain unexplored.

Despite knowing there are skeletons, Vice is surprised by the silence up ahead.

Vice will put his cloak back on, hoping it will hide him from any skeletons for a while at least. "Thanks for mending this so quickly!" he says to 37.

Helpful SheK places a guidance (1d4) on 37 this time. And She is concentrating on it.

With that 37 will make his way into the chamber ahead, shield glowing brightly and his supernaturally acute vision vigilant for signs of trouble.

On the move SheK will closely follow metal man 37 as she continues to concentrate on guidance cantrip for him. Fay'ish her has her faithful warhammer ready & waiting for some melee action. Still loaded SheK has some spell slots & lots of one-use spells left. Although useful her has 10 points of damage on her, caster her does have cure wounds but hasn't casted on herself as she does have limited spell slots left. Half-Orc SheK doesn't own a light spell in her spell repertory and always favors her 60' Darkvision.

37 leads the way down the short hall to a flight of stairs that descend into the chamber below. The light from his shield reveals the ceiling rising above the group. SheK and Vice follow behind the warforged, Peldan seemingly drifts above them as he continues to cross the ceiling. A set of stairs rises to their right, where the skeletons seem to be. To their left, another short flight of stairs leads to another room. Straight ahead is a large, ornate locked door.

Once the group reaches the middle of the room, they hear the sounds of a number of crypts begin to grind and open to their right. The top of another obelisk can just be seen from below. Peldan has no issue seeing it and calls out, "We may have a moment to take action."

"Through the ornate door?" 37 asks as he eyes what he can see of the obelisk, already planning to repeat his previous plan.

Armed SheK steps away from the direction the noise is coming from and gets a good spot to view it all as she prepared to cast entangle. "I can slow them down."

Starting with the obelisk, 37 goes to work trying to stop these restless dead before they get up and become a problem.

"We should look into sealing that up, so no one accidentally finds the cauldron," 37 muses as lightning crackles and the air begins to smell of ozone.

Vice moves to the stairs and throws Envy at the obelisk, hoping it has enough power to at least damage the magic stone. Then he moves to keep the path clear.
Then he takes a moment to pump himself up for the coming skirmish.

Envy streaks through the air with its sickly green trail behind it. The magic within seems to have the desired effect, as a chunk of the obelisk flies away from the chakram’s impact with it.

Peldan moves up to get a better look from the ceiling. From his vantage point, he can see a crypt partially open and a flash of light falls into the sarcophagus.

The halfling then crawls back out of the line of fire.

Sorry, meant to have that at disadvantage from being in the crypt.

Caster SheK says, "I can't see them yet, so it is hard to stop them." She steps up to L14 to block their way from entering the room and bottle neck them up.

Moves to L14 and ready action to attack anything skeleton that comes in melee range.

SheK, you said you wanted to cast entangle earlier, if so, where did you want to drop it?

Due the position and all both faerie fire and entangle just didn't work well at the moment. So instead, she is going to bottle neck them up and consider what to do next.
