The Cloakwood bears little resemblance to the Wood of Sharp Teeth, though they aren't far from each other in the Western Heartlands. While the Wood of Sharp Teeth is a sprawling tangle of a forest, the Cloakwood is considerably smaller - though far more dangerous. Wild beasts, sly fey, and creatures of shadow are all said to lurk under the Cloakwood's thick canopy. And despite being on the coast just south of Baldur's Gate itself, it's rather ignored by inhabitants of the city, for very few expeditions or ventures to procure resources have been successful over the years. It's never been mapped, and those who have tried swear that the dark forest is capable of shifting its features and locations.
