Curing Eldergrove

Barley takes the blow as the demon bashes his chin. He turns his visage terrible with grinning determination. Sword at his side, he yells, leans forward in a power stance, and unleashes two bolts of psychic force at the imp directly in front of him. The air shimmers as they fly at their target.

The demon explodes into an thicker dark cloud that falls and coils but does not dissipate. Little tendrils of the cloud cling to and twirl around the still standing demon next to it.

Seeing the cloud seem to empower the remaining demons, Rhidon puts all his focus into two hits against the one in-front of him hoping that downing them all will stop this chain reaction.

The demon crunches nicely under the blows and collapses into the thick and boiling cloud. The now even larger and thicker cloud drifts outside the door and up towards the demons that surround Beruga.

Upon taking damage, Beruga turns and sees at a glance that she is outnumbered. Needing to get both the Gnome and herself to safety, she puts all of her effort into evading the Imp's next attack(s) and runs along the roof to the other side. There, she searches the area for any substantial plant life, or a way down from the roof.

Vaun watched as more demonic imp started to swarm Beruga. He rushed to attack the imp surrounding Beruga and slashed at it with his dagger.

OOC: I don't know if there is any attack of opportunity in this game but I need to support Beruga. Attacking the imp H7.

Barley pushes through the demonic dust and runs outside. He looks towards Berulga. He watches Vaun slash at her assailant and then fires a psychic bolt at one of the other imps.

Beruga rushes across the plant covered building and keeping of the edge uses the last of her balloons magic to float safely down. Vaun moves out to help his beset companion but with all the combatants don't up in the air must content himself with readying himself for a fight as Barley and Rhidon move to back him up.

Vrock

Two of the demons scream and swoop down to fight the party. One chases Beruga the other heads for Vaun and they exchange blows.

Hezrou

The dark cloud flows up to merge with the third and it falls to the ground growing even larger before attacking Barley

Vaun was surprised as the flying creature came swooping down to rake him from the sky. He angled his dagger and made an upward slash at this flying demon, trying to injure it, and fell it down. They were doing their best to defeat the demons, but more and more continued to come. It was obvious that these vile infernal creatures had taken over this area of Eldergrove.

OOC: Moving to 10H in order to attack the Vrock.

Optional Advanced Rules

Critical Success :
Any time two or more 6's are roll rolled on any test the results exceed basic results. Damage is increased or another beneficial effect will be added by the GM.

Armor Proficiency
Medium armor with Proficiency (a new Proficiency option) allows you to negate the first point of damage from each conflict. Heavy armor with Mastery, requires medium Arnett proficiency, allows you to negate the first 2 points of damage from each conflict.

Barley nimbly step to the side, dodging the Herzou's clumsy attack. Quick as lightning he strikes with his sword, slashing at the creature's abdomen. He follows the strike with another psychic bolt.

OOC:

Sorry about jumping the gun on that attack earlier! I got carried away in the heat of the battle.

I'm ok with adding crits if everyone else is. It's always fun when someone crits one way or the other. I do like the simplicity of the system though, so I don't need the armor ruling.

Rhidon curses the creatures and looks at his compatriots to ensure that everyone is holding them off okay. He wonders how large the next iteration will be, before striking each of the hezrous.

Vaun's immaculately aimed knife work causes another demon to explode into gases and Barley makes quick work of another. The clouds all drift towards the larger one that chased Beruga! Rhidon moves to her aid and slams his fists into the larger and tougher demon that staggers but does not go down.

Now that she is reunited with her friends, Beruga has gained the confidence to turn and face the demon. Out of the right side of her harness she lets loose a morning star connected to her utility collar by a chain. With a hula-hoop motion of her neck, she swings it around to build momentum before lashing it out to strike the demon.

Beruga's strike almost finishes off the demon but it clings to its existence and the thick dark clouds poor into it, healing and enlarging it further into a new and more sinister shape that tears into you with 4 arms! Beruga is cut into deeply with one of the massive claws and Vaun is slammed by a fist.

I had myself as 5/6 (I may need to adjust that max lol), I believe Rhidon took 1 DMG when falling into the pit. How long ago was that?

Rhidon, worried about his new friend, uses one of his actions to perform a deflecting strike trying to block some of attacks on Bergua, and his other action to make a sweeping kick to the demon's face.
