Quick question: Are there death saves in Tiny D6? Or do we die when we reach 0 hp?
Beruga recoils after being hit, and then times the next swing of her morning star to lash back at Glabrezu. At the same time, she prepares to evade any further retaliation.

Morning star attack - (2d6)

Evade (preemptive) - (1d6)

Vaun thought that they were getting the upper hand as they continued to attack and disintegrate the demons. However, the remaining one suddenly got healed by the thick black cloud and transformed to renew it's pummeling attack with four arms on everyone. Vaun got hit by the fist and reeled from the blow, but from the corner of his eye, he noticed how badly Beruga was injured. He took out one of his injector contraption filled with red-colored viscous, sloshing fluid and jabbed it into Beruga's body, injecting the entire fluid. "My friend, you are injured but this will heal you up. It pricks a little, but don't worry; you will feel better in no time."

He then grabbed his dagger and renewed his attack on the transformed demon.

OOC: I believe I also took 1 damage from the fall into the trap. Unless it is healed, I also have 1 damage. I used Healer trait to heal Beruga by 2 hit points.

Per the BTB rules, when you hit 0 hp (and you can't go below zero) you get up to two Save Tests; one Standard, one at Disadvantage. If you make either, you pop back to 1 hp. Fail both and you're dead.

That's the book. Psybermagi made do it differently here.

OOC:
Nope, no custom rules on death. No one has gotten close in my game yet and I forgot the save test
Rules says:

Unconscious & Death
+ If you are reduced to 0 HP you are knocked unconscious and are dying
+ If you are dying, then roll a Save Test each round with a success stabilizing you. The first round is a standard Save Test. The second round is at disadvantage. On the third round you die.
+ Nearby characters can also roll a Test to stabilize you before you die.
+ If you die you can be revived by magic with great diet and cost.

With none proving a threat to its demonic might the Glabrezu laughs and throws another round of attacks at all involved. Howling the Glabrezu revels in the chaos as it's claws and fists gouge and slam into the party.
OOC:
Thanks, I expect everyone is tracking their own health but I do as well, so I know when to ask for a death save, *(friendly grin) I will post group health anytime someone gets below 1/2 so you can help those in need.
I assume with Vaun in the group he will heal anyone in need outside of combat so I ignored the damage from the pit.
Remember to evade dame you declare it before the attack the roll 1d6 for each attack that hits.
Ex Rnd 1 Bob attacks and Evades, goblin attacks and hits, Bob evades 1d6=5 and takes nodamage. Troll attacks and hits bob, Bob tries to evade 1d6=3 but fails to avoid damage.

In play by post if you want to roll Evation when you declare it that is fine with me, but you must declare the evade action before the enemies attack action. Using a Shield with the Shield Bearer trait allows evade with 2d6 as do some special abilities or spells.

To clarify,
Quote:

. Does this mean we must anticipate an enemies attack before we roll evasion or we must roll before the next round. Example: Barley thinks a demon is coming for him, so he rolls evade and then a hit even though the monster might not attack him specifically. Or does it work like what is happening now: Monster swings at Barley, he can evade, but he must do so before next round? I'm attacking twice this turn, but this would be a good place to evade. I am hoping for good rolls!
Edit: I didn't realize evade was 1d6. I would say I used my martial artist trait for the last evade because I rolled two d6
Barley takes a heavy blow to his face and stumbles backwards. He looks the imp in it's gleaming eyes and furrows his bow. He jukes then sends two psychic bolts towards the fiend.

Basically yes, you must anticipate the attack. Whether you roll the 1d6 when you declare it or roll it later does not matter. I ignore your Evade rolls, as much as I can, and if you roll an Evade=5 and the NPC attack hits then it is really a miss.
Declaring an Evade action indicates you are putting effort into dodging and blocking attacks for the next round.
Quote:
When you choose to Evade, until the start of your next turn, you can Test 1d6 when you are successfully hit by an enemy. If your Test is successful, you evade the attack and do not take damage.
The only reactions in this system are Save Tests.

I believe this should put Beruga at 3/6. I'm guessing the -2 in round 4 is because the demon crit me? (I'm fine with that, just want to make sure)
Reeling from the last few blows, Beruga regains her footing and breathes a deep breath as Vaun heals her.

Thanks friends! she squeaks. I don't know how much longer I can hold this up though. A few more attacks and I might have to run!

Beruga attacks with her morning star and prepares to evade once again.

While we're asking questions, is the way I attempted to "deflect" attacks on an ally alright? I wasn't sure exactly what to roll so I just wen with it but I figured Rhidon would be able to use some of his Martial Arts ability to protect allies adjacent to him with a roll.
"Hold on Beruga, I have a feeling this may be the creature's final form!" Still reeling from the hearty blow taken directly from the Glabrezu, Rhidon concentrates all of his energies into two strikes against the creature's limbs hoping to stifle future strikes.

Vaun got hit again by the four armed demon that continued to attack everyone. He took out another injector and administered it on Barley as he saw him getting pummelled by viciously by Glabrezu. He then slashed at the demon again with his dagger.

OOC: It looks like my healing failed. I will try again next turn. @Psybermagi I will mention healing from now on.

Hi, I have another question. I know the demon is up next, but on my turn, if I wanted to try and blind him by throwing dirt in his face or something like that could that cause some sort of disadvantage? Or would it just be a flavor thing?

I am ok with creative content.
This would be a standard action that allows a Save Test to avoid the effect that last 1 round with three option he can use an action to remove the affect. Ie clear his eyes. So for you to affect him you need a success and he needs to fail.

Barley stumbles backwards from the blow grasping at his chest. He struggles to regain his composure and reaches out with his mind tearing at the dirt cake shingles and flings it at the creature. "Hopefully this slows it down", he thinks and fires another psychic bolt directly into its hide.

Awesome! Hopefully I roll well. On a side note, Barley is pretty beat up and can use some healing, but hopefully if we don't take this thing down this round, this will buy us some time.
