Having signed in with a caravan escort duty Ander was assigned to be an outrider. They traveled south west through the hills of the Freehold lands several days. Now heading north west across the plains Ander spend long hours in the saddle under the blazing sun. The wagon train has only 2 outriders and Ander can not stand the other whom Ander believes is likely a brigand at least party time. Besides then there are 6 guards that stay closer to the washing, and 12 wagons with a driver and wagoneer each.

Do you want to intercept and meet what is creating the cloud, just get closer enough to see the cause, go talk with the guards or wagontrain Master, etc . . . ?
Oh how our knightly fellow daydreams in dour disdain. The thrill of adventuring, quickly overshadowed by the pain of riding a nasally-nasty nagging nag in the heat. Oh, the plight of a knightly hero!
Spying a dust-kicking image up ahead, Ander rides up to the wagon train Master for caravanning consult! "Wagontrain Master, there is something up ahead. Might you allow me to ride forth and meet it, before it intercepts our bold brigade? Adventure surely awaits me, yes?!"
Ander speaks in a heroic tone, like he’s absolutely serious!

Wheeling your hourse, who is flagging a bit now after the hard ride in, you kick it into a light trot aiming to intercept the growing cloud. On your way out you pass a couple of the guards that are looking for any possible vantage point of concealment as they ready weapons for action. A few minute later you can tell the cloud is from a group of about 6 riders. You can tell they are not menon horseback, the shape and canter is wrong. As you near you grow in certainty that the mounts are a large dog, even bigger than your horse, and another minute later you can tell the riders and Gnolls. Gnolls are known to be intelligent but like many of the Warborn are feared by many due to their violent tendancies. The gnols are is simple dress and carry long lances with a brace of javelins in a large quiver at their mounts side. Their furn is a dull grey with darker browns and black spots of. They are tall and lean but have large shoulders making you guess they can likely hold their lance point steady easily and throw their javelins far and hard.
Let me know if/how you want to approatch them.
"Half-dozen gnolls, on large dogs. We’ll need to circle the wagons, get defenders out front and prepare for an attack."
Ander gazes emerald eyes around the landscape. Looking for a place to position his knightly mounted self up front. Time for action, knightly fellow!
Pontus

But dont you worry your pretty head little knight. Six gnolls aproaching in plain view are not the problem. We can handle that with the guards and wagoneers. It is a question if they brought friends. Go scout the area away from the gnolls and tell that lazy loute Scython he better pair up with you till this thing is settled.
You head back out at a slow trot, your horse now quite tired, heading out where Scython should be as you scan the area for other gnoll
Roll a standard t3est, 2d5, for your chance to spot anything out there, like Scython or gnolls.
Our knightly fellow "(coughs)" dust from his nostrils, and pushes his loyal steed just enough to find and hopefully pair up with Scython. Ander keeps his knightly self poised for sign of friend or foe.
"Hang in there, ol’ girl," he says to his loyal steed. Fair-skinned hands pet his horse’s mane. Because a knights touch, it’s ALWAYS inspiring!

As you crest a slight rise you look down to see Scython talking with a gnoll. The two are dismounted, which is how they were able to conceal themselves. A short way from each is their mount, horse and riding hound.
Ander looks down upon them from Loyal Steed. Emerald eyes gaze condescendingly, and he says proudly,
"You two, what’s the meaning of this? Something you want to share with the rest of the class? And by rest of the class, I mean ME!"
Ander keeps one hand on reins of Loyal Steed, the other on pommel of his sword. And he looks at the men in the most knightly-minded manner imaginable!

"Gnoll…person…drop your spear, and come towards me! And you…SCYTHON, is it? You come back towards me as well, but keep your hands where I can see them! We’re going back to the Wagontrain Master, together. Do as I say, or else…there’ll be trouble!
"Also, it’s ANDER, not ANDREW!"

However, in this case I will also give them a Save Test to see if you intimidate them as it may conflict with their self interests or self preservation.

2d6 : (41) = 5
2d6 : (36) = 9
I shoulda asked the KING, Ander thinks to knightly self. His mind harkening to the chess piece tucked tightly in his right-sided saddlebag. The King…always a source of royal advice!
Anyway, so our knightly fellow tries to bother the gnoll just enough to keep him on the ground, off his mount. As emerald eyes give spiteful glare at the tie fling Scython. Traitor, he says under knightly breath!
Rolls
Advantage! - (2d6)

Gnoll
+ attack (1 damage per success unless stated otherwise)
+ evade (Until you can act again Test at disadvantage any time you are hit to avoid damage)

Meanwhile Scython manages to grab up his horses reigns and climb into the saddle. He hesitates a moment before spurring his mount and you hear the beast approaching from your rear and spare him a quick glance to see him draw his sword.

Take that, there, then, Ander exclaims. His trusty sword hopefully finding purchase!
Ander then tries turning and moving his steed in order to keep both foes in front of him as much as possible.

I will treat your second action as an Evade so you have a chance to see how it works.
So since one of the attacks was a success you now can roll with disadvantage, 1d6, to evade that attack. If you succeed, 5 or 6, then you take no damage
Evade action lets you roll against any/all successful attacks so is a good thing when being attacked by larger numbers.

Gnoll attacks Ander - (2d6, 2d6)

2d6 : (13) = 4

Your first d6 roll was a 4 so you did not evade the strike are were hit.
You are facing 2 opponents, one mounted the other not. The wagons are a bit over a minutes ride from your current position and thus unlikely to hear your fight.
It is your turn now.
