Ishzu Down Under

Ishzu travels for a while following the tunnels as they wound left, right, up, down, always following signs or previous passage. Your travels have lead you though mostly barren stretches of stone but you begin to notice an increase in moisture and small animal life and you hear an odd sound ahead. As you get closer the sound becomes louder and clearer. The sound makes you think of persistent groaning and moaning of from several voices. Advancing cautiously you realize the area is becoming lighter outside the torchlight and opening up to a larger cavern. The path continues ahead and to the right a bit but the odd sound comes from your left where the cavern splits.

Ishzu snuffs out the torch now that there is a little more light. Slowing down he tries to sneak towards the left tunnel to see what is going on.

Ever grateful for the morphic field within you that allow for a stable liquid crystal you padd quietly to the left. The dim light barely allows you to see but thankfully patience was a quality you mastered long ago and you make your way to a small wall of piled stone that surrounds a pit from which the sound comes from.. The glow from below is bright enough to allow you to see the figures down in the put. Below you is a writhing mass of slug like creatures? Or perhaps they are a strange lizard with extremely short arms, legs, and tails. By the look of if they are either domesticated or rounded up. Pulling back you take a moment to let your eye settle back to the extreme of the caverns lack of light. The area near the pen looks ot have been shaped and the smoothed stone extends further back into the cave.

Suddenly you hear a sligh clink of metal on metal to your right. Locking your feet in plase you slowly rotate your body and head to look towards the sound. While noting stands out in what light there is you do catch the faint sounds of breathing to your right barely audible over the low moaning of the penned creatures to your left.

Ishzh staying against the wall for cover he creeps towards the sound of breathing to figure out what it is...
OOC:
Do I see a Locked gate or any way to let loose the Lizard/slugs?
OOC:
Do you want more from a post from me? More then just I hide and move. I have never been good at doing inner thoughts with a character I can if you want more.

OOC:
Post is fine, just a busy family weekend
The low rock wall is as "solid" as a loose collection of rock piled together without cement or mortar can be. The pit is low enough that none of the creatures can see even the base of the wall at their current eye level. Searching nearby you do see a walled off ramp leading down next to the pit with a solid door granting access to it.

Moving towards the sounds cautiously you hear another clink, of chain shifting?, but can make out nothing in the area. Now that you look at it is seems oddly devoid of the small glowing plants, moss, or lichen that grant the little level of light there is. Knowing that many denizens of the dark do not need even that much to see by you get the strang impression of being back lit in the nearly pitch black cave as you pause your approach towards the black area as you feel increasingly uneasy.

Death-Dog
Suddenly from the shadows hiding the breathing a large form rushes out accompanied by a low growl and the tilkle of metal behind it. Two heads lunge at you snapping their large maws to bite down on your hardened stone skin.

No rolls were 5 or higher so you are not hit.
You sidestep in time to avoid the creatures charge. It twirls in place to face you with the pens a ways to your left, the creatures starting position behind it and to the left as well with the passage you came in from to your right

Rolls

two headed attack - (2d6, 2d6)

2d6 : (22) = 4

2d6 : (23) = 5

Ishzu keeps his back to the cave wall as the two-headed dog moves for another attack.
His crystal hands raise in defense. "Woah dog"
Ishzu gets ready to dodge another attack.
OOC:
Can I try to evade and if I pass shove the dog into the wall behind me? Rolling 2d6 two times.

Rolls

Ishzu: Test - Basic Evade - (2d6)

(36) = 9

Ishzu: Test - Basic Psyhic push - (2d6)

(45) = 9

OOC:
Evade is technically declared before but rolled after an attack hits and only uses 1d6.
Alternately you can try to just move past the thing without being attacked, there is not set rule for this but I am fine with enacting it something like acrobatics/tumbling to avoid it or get past it. Basic skill 2d6
As for the shove, telekinesys is about as strong as a single arm so is not as strong as you are. However as it is at range and invisible it allows a wide variety of options. Ex: tripping the dog by grabbing/pulling a single foot 2d6
The system tries to stay streamlined so you can make stuff up and I only have to tell you when you reach or exceeds limits, as stated above. All in all I see not problem implementing your basic plan.
So expressing your intent with your optimal end result lets me work out what I think is the best result based on your rolls. In this case you succeeded in both actions but I am not sure where you were moving. Were you heading some place specific or just avoiding damage?
As you move in the dark you time your movement to avoid the dog and trip it up allowing you to move past

OOC:
Just moving to avoid damage. Skirting to the side
to keep the dog from getting behind me.
Dec 12, 2023 6:48 am
The chained beast tries to pursue you but you manage to avoid it for now, but to what end? In a furry the beast starts baying. It's loud growls, barks, and howls filling the cavern as it continues to try and bite into whatever part of you it can reach but get s only air for now

Ishzu runs some distance away from the two headed dog. He looks around the cave for something to use against the Dog. A stalactite or large rock to injury the creature.
OOC:
I am not sure what I would have for weapons. I have Small Weapons listed. Could that be a dagger or staff? Otherwise I am move away and edvading again. Unless looking for some sort of environment to use against it is an action.
Dec 14, 2023 2:08 am
OOC:
You are allowed 1 weapon of choice so take your pick.

Dodging around the dog you quickly make some distance and learn the dog can barely reach the edge of the pens before being brough up by the chain that holds it but not any further. Now past the dog and pen you look around and see a few stone you can throw at it if you wish but the dog slinks back into the darkness and out of sight.

A flicker sends momentary blinding levels of light through the cavern. Covering your eyes you turn to see the source and are surprised to see a small house further back in the cavern.
Dec 14, 2023 10:36 pm
Leaving the two headed dog Ishzu tries to sneak closer to the house and find a nearby shadow to hide in.

Ishzu quietly slips in the shadows out of the light from the window as the door opens. A tall, scaly humanoid steps out and is backlight by the light from within the small house. It emits a sharp hissing whistle which silences the "dog"
roll a test to see how well you can get there quietly and not be notices

You manage to hide without noise. The figure looks out to the dark for several moment listening before the light on the porch is suddenly lit illuminating the area. Pressing yourself against the stone at your back you remain hidden as the person steps out to the edge of the porch looking around before heading towards the dog kennel.
Dec 15, 2023 11:59 pm
Staying hidden Ishza just observes the lizardman. He waits to see what the creature does...
Dec 16, 2023 4:15 am
The lizardman takes the lantern and upon reaching the kennel you hear a click then the lizardman speaks a command and the two headed dog begins growling and tracking your scent, leading the lizardman your way. You hiding place will be revealed in the lantern light in moments.
Dec 16, 2023 4:47 pm
Figure there is no good way out of this situation Ishzu steps out of the shadows and into the light.
Staff in hand he speaks to the lizardman. "Good Day. I mean you know Harm. I have be come lost in these winding caves."
Dec 16, 2023 9:37 pm
Troglodyte
Holding the lantern up the troglodyte peers at you. Is a housing, taping voice it replies Lossst in the cavessss? Haashad Krisska am I. This place is mine. . And it states at you, holding one of the dogs collars.
Dec 16, 2023 10:22 pm
Ishzu nods. "I am looking for some goblins. I was told their home is somewhere in these tunnels.
He stays out of reach of the dog and creature. "I am Ishzu. Well met Krisska. What is your pets name?"
