Haashad Krisska lets you go with only a few words as you leave I grow ground grub and trade meat for other items or information. You may stop by if you come this way again. Just stay back and toss a stone toward the back of the cave and I will come to greet you.
You continue on and after several more minutes you notice the air is a bit cooler and the scent of water is in the air. You come to a larger cavern again and your carried light reflects of greenish stones set into the cavern walls in strange spiral patterns. At the back of the cave is a pool of water. Off to one side you see more trash that you now associate with a goblin camp site. This camp is fresher than the first you found at the base of the crack leading to the dragon hoard but nothing else can be learned from the traces you find.
Proceeding cautiously you move on the large cavern splits and up ahead you see a faint flicker of firelight reflecting off the cavern walls in the distant darkness.

Before heading towards the firelight Ishzu focuses on the dragonmark.

Holding your torch to light you way you move closer to the firelight. You se two small figures croutched ovre a small cooking fire. One of the figures looks up towards your direction and you recognize it as a goblin.

Ishzu snuffs out his torch and approaches the goblins. "I have friends that are always nearby." he says to the closer goblin.
Ishzu makes his way to the firepit and puts his crystal arms out to warm back up. "I wish to speak with your leader. Who ever is in charge of your tribe."

Looking back the way you came the back in the opposite way he asks a question of his own You with humans in base or come from deep dark? You tell me where you from and we send goblin with message when leader ready to meet.

The answering call came from the other goblin, which you have been tracking with your psychic abilities. The one that left the firelight had circled around the firelight but staying in the dark. Scouting or moving to ambush you? As he never moved to attack you merely kept track of him by his mental impression on your psychic senses.

He find you when he want to talk. and he starts gathering up his supplies and is soon joined by his companion. They have a whispered conversation in their goblin tongue with frequent glances at you. Within minutes they are ready to set off. By, don't die glass man the spokes gobin says in parting.
If you dont stop them the leave the fire and you quickly behind.

I would prefer to track them without using a torch but I don't think that would be easy. I will follow them best as I can using Psionics. If I loose them I will use a torch to try and follow their foot prints. Dec 23, 2023 11:05 pm
Following as best as you can you follow the goblins for quite a while as they wind through various caverns then up a long climb. At the top of the climb the goblins quickly run off and you lose them to your psychic senses.
Roll a standard test, 2d6, for trying to track them by torch light. Add comments on any other activities you do to try an find them.

Ishzu keeps an eye out for any scraps or garbage the goblins might drop as they start to run. He also looks for any scuff marks or loose rocks they might have toppled.
