The two soldiers had immediately attacked Velisse, which meant that she had no opportunity to guard against the two more who appeared. She could only hope that the other three who also turned up were no friends of these automatons. She had no time to lose, and swung her greatsword with much haste and speed.

If successful, damage is HR+10=20hp

Thanks!I'll target #4 then.
Pinion was not a fighter himself, but thought of another way he could help. He tried taking over one of the Autonomous Knights, to get them fighting on his behalf.

Oh, that's awesome. I guess I was assuming I wouldn't get to do anything with it till next turn. Can I just have it defend for now? Try to get between its buddies and Velisse/Ail?

Immediately as the smoke cleared, Jezlyn took stock of the situation. One of the knights took advantage of Ail being a step behind to deliver a harsh blow with the haft of it's halberd only to take a blow in turn, while Velisse, after dodging a similar swing thanks to Pinion's magitech, riposted with her Greatsword.

It looked as though the party had the upper hand, for now.

Not sure if I can do anything else, or if ordering this thing around takes my whole turn. Not that there's anything else I would do, Pinion isn't into fisticuffs, lol

These guards are tough! Velisse thought to herself when her great swing connected, but did not bring down the opponent in front of her. She gritted her teeth and took another hefty blow.

Ail grunts in pain as he is hit. "They hit like a freight train," he warns his companions as he makes another overhand swing of his hammer.

Jezlyn growls in frustration that she doesn't know their weaknesses. She unslings her pistol and fires at the knight being attacked by another knight, for some reason.

Between their combined efforts, the group strike back against the encroaching knights. They can hear the sounds of others from the airship approaching, although keeping a healthy distance, in case they need to help. The battle is definitely going in the group's favour, though, as a bullet from Jezyln's pistol strikes it's target and causes the construct to crumple into a shambled heap.

The other two hostile knights sense the loss of their comrade, and act under a strange programming. One detaches from it's combat with Ail, weakened by a crushing blow to one of it's arms, and moves to provide strength in numbers against Velisse and the traitorous one.

Weak is fine, and I'll give Ail a +2 to hit against the knight since it switched targets this turn.

Pinion sees that the knights are teaming up to attack the stranger, and sends the one under his control to defend them. He also realizes he was so focused, that he didn't explain what he was doing to his comrades . . . "I've managed to gain control of one of them, I'll have it try and protect you."

"Where you going you oaf!" Ail says and follows the knight that disengaged, placing himself between it and Velisse.
OOC:
Will use my Bodyguard ability. If you perform the Guard action and choose to provide cover to another creature, that creature gains Resistance to all damage types until the start of your next turn. Will cover Velisse so we both get resistance to all damage.

Jezlyn cheers as her first shot hits home. She follows it up with another crack at the same robot, hoping to bring it down.

With a fizzle and pop, another knight falls. Two remain, and one is on the allied side. Sensing it's overwhelmed, the remaining knight backs away. It keeps it's halberd up, but despite being a machine it knows when it's beaten. The allies have the chance to press the attack and pursue it, or let it leave and consolidate their victory.
