Chapter 1: An intriguing proposal

"Sure you did buddy, take a looks at your highlights reel"

Nesta shows him a 10 second video of him landing the final blow on the bot, the video even comes pre-edited with zoom ins and slow motions segments. (And for some reason another video of someone playing "asteroid surfers" below it, something to do with retaining attention)

Nesta has seen and heard enough from the past talks and thinks that having some stable-ish kind of income could be good for the crew, and a free ship is nothing to scoff at, so she signs the document.

Maya listened thoroughly as Markus spoke and took notes of the contract:

Pros: Steady-ish income, a year-long license to work, a year-long ship usage license, travel, the crew together
Cons: 50.000 if anything goes wrong... 50.000!!!

She lingers while looking at her notes and, after a bunch of deep breaths, she finally signs the document.

She then takes a look at Adeon and says:

"Adeon, I chose to sign, it feels like a good deal: travel, money, all of us together, the rest we can deal with, right?! By the way, I don't think there's anything wrong with your hand after your punch, but please check it with Nesta if there's any circuit broken."

After hearing the cheers and applause from the spectators, Phantom's expression swiftly transitioned from frustration, due to his strike not having the expected outcome, to euphoria for triumphing over the challenge. Twirling the metal tube through the air like a martial artist flaunting his prowess, his performance was a far cry from the level he had shown against the bot. Sidling up to Adeon, he playfully nudged his shoulder, remarking:

"Hey dude, we make quite the team, huh?"

Returning to where the group and Markus were, he quickly skimmed the contract, eyes darting for terms like "MER," "hazard pay", "pardon"... Phantom was not one for contracts; to him, signing was merely a formality. For an outlaw like him, the only assurance he was familiar with was "La garantia soy yo".

Nesta scoffs.

"Hipster…"

"I will head into town just a minute, anyone want to go with me?"

Nesta will have a Quick Look around town, she will try to stop by a store that sells electronics, she will see how much a shunt is going for, and also going to drool a bit in front of any drones displayed.

She will also try to find a "data runner’s store" or something like that, she is going to try and find someone that could sell her knowledge of what data protocol is used in the planet we are going to.

"Yeah sure, I don't have anything else to do. If we have time we can maybe go to that virtual bowling again, this time i'll beat your ass sister Nesta."Adeon will just follow Nesta
