Chapter 4: The Waters of Menehune

Regan will start to whistle a little tune as he waits patiently to come within range.

GM: Does it look like the area where the enemy be good to retrieve back throw handaxes later.

Oh and with all those fairies earlier, Cordey will draw out a handful of Gems (1gp or less type) and give them away to cheering fairies. He likes smiling faces.

If Regan can get an additional Eldritch Blast off as they close, he will do so.

Cordey has a Light Crossbow and lots of ammo. He shoots at Sahaugin 1. He easily sinks a bolt in him.

Admiral perches on the edge of the catamaran and draws his sword as the boat drifts closer to the Sahuagin. He aims another blast of eldritch magic at the nearest one as he prepares to leap off the skiff onto the rocks as soon as he’s close enough.

The boat moves closer to the guards. As it does, Cordey lands a bolt into the one wearing a helmet (4 damage). Admiral's blast immediately follows and its force pushes the sahaugin from his aggressive perch into the water (9 damage).

Taresh stands up in the boat, closes his eyes and calmly breathes. Suddenly all see a thin grey film surrounding them. Mischa puts her hands to her temples and glares at one of the Sahaugin (11 damage).


Regan sends another blast of Eldritch force at the same Sahaugin that seems to stumble at Mischa's glare. The blast collapses the creature. It falls into the shallows motionless. (11 damage).

The only Sahaugin that remains standing on large rocks behind his fallen comrades kneels and puts his hand in the water. Translucent eye films roll over his eyes while his slitted pupils move to the top of his eye sockets. Suddenly 2 large shark-like fish (about 6 feet long) with colorful zebra like patterns can be seen in the clear tropical water swimming toward the boat from the direction of the brook entrance. The Sahaugin then dives into the water and begins to swim toward the brook as the fish swim by him.

Flashing a smile and a wink at Taresh, Regan changes focus. "Alright then, from Sahaugen to sharks." Another Eldritch Blast while the big nasty fishies are a ways away.

Cordey believes the same and fires a bolt at that shark.

Not wanting the Sahuagin to slip away and warn the hag, Admiral fires an eldritch blast full of necrotic energy at the fleeing creature.

Cordey fires a bolt into the water and it lodges into a shark swimming aggressively toward the boat. (5 damage)

Admiral quickly reacts to the evading Sahuagin and blasts it with Eldritch force. Admiral's hex on the creature slows its movement, keeping it from swimming too quickly out of range. (8 damage).

Caspian stands in the boat, removes a short spear from his back, watches the water intently, and prepares to hurl it at a shark as soon as it is in range.

Regan's blast of Eldritch force parts water and creates a wake as it slams an oncoming shark. (9 damage)

The two sharks, both wounded, continue to swim aggressively toward the boat but as they get closer they seem to loose track of the boat's location and their course veers a bit. It looks as if they might swim by the boat, unaware of its location.
