New to PBP but not to TTRPGs

Hi everyone!

A person in a Discord group I'm in brought up the possibility of putting together a play-by-post game, but has no DM experience. I have 7ish years of DM experience, mostly in D&D 5e and I've been branching out to other systems in the past few years, but I've never tried a PBP game. Rather than jumping in with no idea what I'm doing, I thought it would be really fun to learn by doing, so here I am! I'm looking forward to trying a new format for playing TTRPGs and eventually starting my own groups!

You might also be interested in looking through some public games as well to get a feel for the site.
If you have any questions about how to use the site, you can put them into our Questions and Help subforum.

To join a game, keep your eyes on the Games Tavern, where GMs advertise their games and look for players.

If you are interested, I run a 'game for new players'. It uses World of Dungeons which is a very simplified Powered by the Apocalypse game (the rules that power Monster of the Week).

You are welcome to join us. Take a look at the Game Details, or the Game Forums to see if you are interested.

We try to post most days, but it is low commitment, and we 'expect' players to drop in and drop out as they need.

I also run an occasional Round Table for PbtA GMs if you think that will be useful in your quest to GM games here and learn new systems. Take a look there too, if you want.
