Although Martha's speech seemed to work the arrival a person armed with a dagger did not go well, and suddenly the three ruffins took ther own dagger, one of them smiled an evil smile.

If it is a fight you want, we're ready ! Common then !

The folk in the audience who were bothered by the noise are now frightened and you can see scorns at the ratfolk clown that unsheash a dagger provoking even more problem. The situation is not good, if it is not rapidly dealt with, the public may return with a bad memory (negative excitement for th show)
Mar 7, 2024 10:59 am
"What, ol' Giccy? That's just part of the show," Martha says firmly. "See the makeup? Bet you haven't seen a clown juggle knives before." She gives the other performer a meaningful look. "I'm sure you need to go backstage and get ready for the performance."
Mar 7, 2024 11:00 am
Vespera, with her natural charm and performance skills, steps forward, gracefully acknowledging the tension in the air. She raises her hands in a calming gesture, smiling warmly.

"Ladies and gentlemen, friends of the circus, we are here to provide you with a spectacle of joy and wonder. Let's not let a few misunderstandings ruin this night of celebration. We invite you to join us in the magic that awaits, and together, let's create memories that will last a lifetime."

Vespera begins an impromptu performance, using her glaive to create elegant, swirling patterns in the air. The colored silk scarves from her costume become extensions of her dance, floating gracefully around her. The intention is to shift the focus away from the brewing conflict and redirect it toward the mesmerizing beauty of the circus arts.

She moves closer to the rowdy individuals, incorporating them into her performance with a twirl of her glaive, inviting them to join in the magic of the moment. The hope is that through the power of entertainment and the shared experience of wonder, the tension in the air will dissolve, allowing the circus to continue its show without further disruption.

As Vespera gracefully moves towards the rowdy dwarves, she discreetly leans in, whispering to them with a sly smile, "My friends, let's turn this into a performance worth betting on. Play along, join the dance, and I promise you a share of the excitement and profits. Help us make this night unforgettable for everyone, and you'll find your purses a bit heavier by the end of it."

As she continues her captivating performance, so tries to urge the dwarves to begin to mimic her movements, turning the potential clash into an unexpected and entertaining collaboration.

Do you help her in bringing the RUffians on the stage and setting up the scene ? If so post your actions.

@Vespera: You will have to do a trick check to see how the impromptu performance goes.

@Cicicero: You have to make a juggle check to help Vespera and sell to the public it was a prepared trick.
The Three men talked in low voice for about 15 seconds and finally decide to follow Vespera, not very proud of themselves and without uttering a word.

Gicicero seeing the crowds response to appearance and demeanor, pulls out another three pointy daggers. He tosses all 4 daggers high up into the air. 3 of the daggers fall into his hands, while one briefly remains suspended in the air. He expertly starts juggling with the assistance of an invisible floating hand.

Vespera continues her performance, seamlessly incorporating the rowdy individuals into the routine. As Gray attempts to gain the crowd's support for the newcomers, Vespera takes advantage of the distraction and steps forward with an elegant twirl, positioning herself between the ruffians and the audience.

With a captivating smile, she extends her glaive, its gleaming blade catching the light as she begins a skillful display of her own. Engaging in a dance of precision and finesse, Vespera twirls the glaive in intricate patterns, creating a mesmerizing spectacle that draws the attention away from the newcomers.

As Gicicero skillfully juggles the daggers, Vespera coordinates her movements to complement his act, enhancing the overall visual appeal. The combination of graceful glaive maneuvers and expert juggling captures the audience's attention, creating an atmosphere of awe and wonder.

Vespera, ever the master of showmanship, takes center stage with a gracious bow, her glaive gleaming in the spotlight. As she rises, she motions towards the three ruffians with a charismatic smile, introducing them to the eager crowd.

"Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed guests of the Wayward Wonders Circus, tonight we have a special surprise for you! In the spirit of unity and unexpected delights, I present to you three daring individuals who have graciously joined us in the center ring! They bring with them a unique energy, and together, we shall weave a tale of danger and skill that will leave you breathless!"

With a dramatic flourish, Vespera cues the music, signaling the start of an impromptu collaborative act.
OOC:
Vespera will begin her "Dance of the Eternal Rose" trick. Allowing the three dwarves, with their daggers, to stand in for the masked riggers.

The act does not bide well, Gray with his charisma is able to support Vespera, but even that is not enough. Luckily for them the Dwarves were able to do a nice show, so been an impromptu part of act 1, it was decided to Send in the CLowns to save the performance and it work in a mayhem of knifes and colors, the audience began to laugh, while every one went back behind the curtain.
OOC:

So, 12 + 2(Gray) = 14 nt enough, Clowns transhfrm a regular Fail into a success !
Anticipation 15, Excitement 4
@Vespera: It was a very good idea youkeep your Hero Point.
I let you deal backstage with the 3 rufians who are a little shaking by now.
Mar 9, 2024 5:08 am
"Good effort, lads," Martha beams at the three impromptu participants of the show, still looking a little dazed after their time in the spotlight. "A little more practice and I'd think you were born and bred for the circus. In fact, if you start feeling an itch for more after tonight's show, you might be able to convince Th-" She trips over the slip of her tongue. "Well, the Professor might just be able to find room for you in our crew."

Axel

Mar 9, 2024 12:29 pm
The three ruffians hurry to leave the place.

Axel

The second act is about to tart when suddenly the young Axel freezes when he must get on stage. It is his first show as you all know and stage fright seize him and hold him with a steel hand.

There is so many people, I can't go there, I'm shaking all over.

The Flamboni sisters are ready but they must go all together.
Mar 9, 2024 3:06 pm
Litta pats Axel on the head. "You'll do fine. We're all here watching out for you and we'll have your back. Now scoot!"

She plucks at his outfit, making a few adjustments. "There are some really pretty girls out there who will just eat you up."

OOC:
Since everyone is backstage and I assume helping Liatta Straw to convince Axel, I give a circumstance bonus of +2 => 25 + 2 = 27 DC 17 => Success margin = 10 => Critical Success ! Axel gets a +2 on his trick.

I tke the view they will perform at least twice since you have 2 sending the clown possible, if one mses in the first round, we will advise.
Axel

Axel is very conident for his first tricks and the magic of birds coming from nowhere is quite impressive. But his second trickis a botch that would not bring any anticipation unless the clowns are sent !

Flambonis

The Flambonis are juggling with fire and doing pass from one to another, it is very impressive and everyone cheers in front of such a prowess. There second trick is a success building on some more impressing fire tricks.

Omni-All
OOC:
Although the clown will be sent for Axel in this last trick giving +1 Excitement), the question remains for the Flambonis, with 1d20 and a DC 15, if they do a 1-5 they get a Critical Failure, loosing 1 Excitement: 6-14 It is a failure without consequences, 15+ is a success with 1 Excitement

So far we have Anticipation 15, Excitement 7 (up to trick 2)

So do you send th Sisters for a third Trick ? I you do not want to send the clown you are not obliged, you can try for a 3rd trick from Axel (1-2 critical faile, 3-12 fail, 13+ success)
Oh by the way, there is some noises and scream in the left side public area ...

Vespera, feeling the weight of the less-than-impressive start, takes a moment to gather herself. She acknowledges the departure of the dwarven ruffians with a resigned nod, understanding that her attempt to seamlessly integrate them into the routine fell short.

As Axel freezes on stage due to stage fright, Vespera watches with a mix of empathy and determination. Despite his hesitation, it is Litta's words which inspire the young magician to wow the audience, which he does with the charisma and flair of a huckster born. She looks at Litta with a soft smile, gently brushes the fine layer of fur on her shoulder, "Good job with him, Litta," a gentle pat as she turns back towards the center ring. When Axel's second trick encounters a stumble, Vespera maintains a supportive presence, trusting in the resilience of the young performer. She refrains from offering words of encouragement directly, allowing Litta to continue being a source of support.

Turning her attention to the Flamboni sisters, Vespera allows herself a genuine smile as they captivate the audience with their fiery juggling act. The cheers from the crowd echo in approval, and Vespera nods in acknowledgment of their success. The contagious energy of the performance begins to lift her spirits, and she watches with a renewed sense of hope for the show.

As Gicicero prepares for his juggling act, Vespera addresses him with confidence. "Gicicero, it's your time to shine. Delight the audience with your expert juggling, and I'll be back shortly to join you. Keep the energy high!"

With Gicicero taking the stage, Vespera takes a moment to investigate the disturbance in the left side of the audience, her senses alert and her determination to ensure the safety and enjoyment of the spectators unwavering.
OOC:
Actions: Vespera will keep her glaive out, though she carries it in one hand like a staff, or a prop. She will then head to the source of the disturbance, moving quickly if at all possible.
Mar 9, 2024 5:11 pm
@Vespera: this is not Gicero turn, for now the question is t know 1- What to do for the 3rd Trick For Axel send the clown or give him a 3rd trick to perform 2- What to do for the 3rd trick with the Flambonis since there is a risk of critical failure, and 3- Does anyone react to te fear the hear in the public not to far to their left.

After this Act it is the Main Number with Mordaine solo.
Mar 9, 2024 5:34 pm
OOC:
Apologies, I am unaware of the order of the acts; I thought to send the guy who hasn't done a trick yet. I could only do 1 trick, why are the NPC's doing 2 & 3? I'd rather not risk a flat d20 vs DC 15, so cancel the 3rd attempt and send in Mordaine I guess. Though I am not ringmaster so it's not really my call.

In regards to the disturbance, I already stated that I was heading in that direction. Do you want a perception check, or she will arrive at the speed of plot?
Mar 9, 2024 6:31 pm
The ratfolk slinks away from the big top. Trying to remain unseen Gicicero searches for the source of the disturbance.

Mar 9, 2024 6:33 pm
OOC:
You did only one trick because it was not a schedule performance it was a way to include the 3 obnoxious humans in a last minute trick to avoid the public to be upset or scared and loosing that way 1 excitement.

For the order there are 4 Acts : 1- Dwarven Throwers, 2- Alex & Flambonis, 3- Mordaine, 4- Elizia, Litta & Feather Five.
Since Giccero is a clown coordinator he cannot perform an act in this show, Martha is a backup clown and cannot either.

You may still change people for 3rd and 4th act.

About you going there,it is my fault I read to quickly the post.
Mar 9, 2024 6:37 pm
Vespra & Gicero arrives at the place of the disturbance, and they can see 3 vipers, the person around are frightened !

OOC:
Agree with ending Axel's performance there.
Mar 10, 2024 11:55 am
With a playful glint in her eye and a warm smile, she addresses the concerned crowd.

"Ladies and gentlemen, what an unexpected treat we have for you! You've just been given a sneak peek at Mistress Elizia's latest act, featuring these magnificent vipers. Now, how about we all take a step back, give her skilled assistants some room, and let the magic continue backstage?"

She gestures toward the performers who are discreetly managing the vipers, creating an air of excitement rather than alarm. "These incredible creatures are part of the circus family, and we're thrilled to share this behind-the-scenes moment with you. So, let's stay calm and give our performers the space they need to work their enchantment."

Vespera's playful tone and positive framing help to ease the tension in the crowd. She subtly encourages them to enjoy the unexpected glimpse into the circus's inner workings, turning a potential disturbance into an opportunity for the audience to feel more connected to the performers.
OOC:
Actions: I will roll Diplomacy to try to settle the crowd, and Make a Request that they move, slowly, away from the Vipers.
Vespera isn't trained in Nature, so someone else will have to collect that Vipers (Command an Animal) I think ... but I want to get the crowd away from the danger first.
