OOC:
@ZeroPrime Thanks! We'll try to avenge you! haha
Realizing another attack against the ale-infused man would be pointless, Gray turns his anger, and Vespera's weapon on the woman. "Enough of this! If we wanted to be treated like this, we could have stayed at our last circus."

Rolls

Action 2: Glaive - Atk/Dam - (1d20+3, 1d8+0)

1d20+3 : (10) + 3 = 13

1d8+0 : (3) = 3

Action 3: Glaive - Atk/Dam - (1d20+3-5, 1d8+0+1)

1d20+3-5 : (19) - 2 = 17

1d8+0+1 : (6) + 1 = 7

Sensing a chance, Martha tries to splash the water over the angry man, hoping to cool his temper. When the bucket is empty, she drops it and approaches the man, hoping to draw his attention away from the downed tiefling.
OOC:
Action 1: Ranged Strike (Bucket of Water) - d20 +4 (Dex) +2 (Circumstance) -2 (Improvised)
Action 2: Stride
Action 3: Stumbling Stance

Rolls

Bucket of Water (Improvised Weapon) - (1d20+4)

(16) + 4 = 20

Mar 29, 2024 12:23 pm
OOC:
@crazybirdman You are sure of your action, you are in the middle of spectators with children and you are going to shed blood all over ?

@Smiley You may act on this round.

The man's reaction is not what Martha hopped for, on the other hand i put an end to his drunken rage .

OOC:
They just assaulted a performer with a piece of firewood, this is a medieval society, so I am sure that our actions aren't out of the ordinary in defense of a) the audience and b) the performers. Besides healing magic & medicine are so prevalent it shouldn't be damaging to our reputation at all. Hell, Vespera can heal 36 hp's an hour without even rolling.
Mar 29, 2024 1:38 pm
OOC:
The scenario is pretty clear use of lethal weapon in this instance, means audience is scare/uncomfortable and brings bad rep on the circus, so -2 in Exciting.

So sap, maces and pieces of wood are OK for they are not lethal, sword (or glaive) on the other hand is not, unless it is specifically used as non-lethal.
Mar 29, 2024 1:42 pm
OOC:
maces are, explicitly, lethal, so are clubs. If a guy came into a crowd swinging a piece of fire wood that could crack a skull, and a guard dropped him with a spear, nobody would accuse the guard of over reacting.

Especially when healing is so common. We gave them a chance to leave, they choose to attack us, so thats on them.

While the others are keeping the couple busy, the rat creeps up behind them. He pulls out a dagger and flips it in his hand, so he is holding it by the blade. He tries to knock the man in the back of the head with the butt of the blade.
OOC:
Rolling what I think is right. I think I need my character double checked. Non Lethal Dmg Please!

Rolls

Stealth (Dex) - (1d20+7)

(13) + 7 = 20

Dagger ATtack - (1d20+4+3)

(4) + 7 = 11

Dagger Dmg + Sneak - (1d4-1+1d6)

(2) + (6) - 1 = 7

OOC:
@ZeroPrime Ah ok I did not check for the weapons, my fault, well anyhow the text is clear only non-lethal attack is allowed if you want to keep the circus excitement up so @crazybirdman how do you attack ?.

The man got a strong hit from Gicero and he will certainly be down soon (-16+4(temp lost)-7= -19 hp)
Mar 29, 2024 4:16 pm
OOC:
ill stick with the glaive. Like Zeroprime said, they just took down a fellow member of the circus, and Gray is angry, and doesnt want them to hurt anyone else. He tried attacking with his (nonlethal) fist and failed. Hell risk losing a bit of exictement. Thats probably better than if a guest got hurt.
Mar 29, 2024 5:10 pm
Gray plunge his glaive in the man's body, twice, suddenly blood spills from the wound, the spectators afraid of been hurt and protecting the cildren run out of the tent, the show that seemed to go quite well is disturbed (-2 excitement). The man falls down unconscious.

The women is raging and screaming at the top of her lung
YOU KILLED RHOVO ! MURDERERS !

ANd attacks Gray but misses.
OOC:
New tun for players

Rolls

Jella Attack vs AC 13 - (1d20+8)

(2) + 8 = 10

Mar 29, 2024 5:55 pm
OOC:
Not sure if it matters, but I was attacking the woman, not the man. Based on the Devise a Stratagem roll, I wouldn't be able to hit the drunk guy.
Mar 29, 2024 6:26 pm
OOC:
If someone can use Medicine on the dude he'll be fine, and when Vespera wakes up I can heal him up.

OOC:
He'll be fine since a number of hits are non-lethal.

@crazybirdman Sorry, I did not understand what you meant, I think it went for the best so. You wouldn't have been able to hit the woman, they both have the same AC and HP and hit, they are kind of wins concerning the stats. You were able to hit the man because he was dazzled by the waterhe just received.

ZeroPrime says:
If someone can use Medicine on the dude he'll be fine, and when Vespera wakes up I can heal him up.
Are we going rollplay that, or just end this part of the story here?
Mar 30, 2024 10:26 am
OOC:
The woman is still up and fighting, your turns. Please try to put comments and rule points in the OOC section to allow a better reading flow.
Mar 30, 2024 1:18 pm
Once the man drops, Gicicero sneaks behind the distracted, yelling woman and tries to knock her out as well. Using the back of his blade, he tries to wrack her in the back of the noggin. "Shsss Night Night. He whispers in her her ears after the strike.
OOC:
Is the tent empty or is there still bystanders?

Rolls

Stealth (Dex) - (1d20+7)

(19) + 7 = 26

Dagger - (1d20+7)

(4) + 7 = 11

Dagger Dmg - (1d4-1+1d6)

(2) + (6) - 1 = 7

Mar 30, 2024 2:38 pm
Alas, although Gicicero was able to sneak behind the woman his strike did not strike true (AC 14 - 2 = 12).
OOC:
There are still a lot of people in the circus, but this section is mostly empty by now.

Rolls

Perception check for Sneak DC 26 - (1d20+4)

(11) + 4 = 15

Mar 31, 2024 5:57 pm
OOC:
Martha and Gra what do you do ?
Apr 1, 2024 9:57 am
Martha sidles up to the angry man and throws out a quick number of blows, aiming to subdue rather than injure. Just as quickly as she approached, the dwarf steps away before the man can retaliate.
OOC:
Action 1: Feint - +1 to Deception (Stumbling Stance)
Action 2: Flurry of Blows
Action 3: Step

Rolls

Deception - (1d20+3)

(9) + 3 = 12

Stumbling Swing Fists - Attack Roll 1 - (1d20+7)

(12) + 7 = 19

Stumbling Swing Fists - Attack Roll 2 - (1d20+7)

(7) + 7 = 14

Stumbling Swing Fists - Damage Roll 1 - (1d8+2)

(6) + 2 = 8

Stumbling Swing Fists - Damage Roll 2 - (1d8+2)

(5) + 2 = 7

Apr 1, 2024 10:25 am
May be because she is drunk, the feint did not wok but the first punch hit the woman but the second failed The punch did not do much to Jaleen.
OOC:
Attack #2 14 - 4(second agile attack) = 10, even with feint it would have failed
Damage 8 hp

btw : you attack the woman, since her companion is unconscious.

Rolls

PErception DC - (1d20+4)

(13) + 4 = 17
