Ruby shouts, "The rear looks welded shut! We could maybe get in through the side door. We'd have to pull it open. But then we'd be jumping in one by one into a group of vamps! This seems like suicide. We can just follow the train until it stops or until daybreak."

"I don’t know that old Blossom here can keep up this pace all night!" Dirt shouts to the others!

"I’ll jump on first! Make sure that we aren’t jumping into a nest of them! That ought to tell you whether or not you should follow!" he goes on, ignoring the idea of it being suicide for the moment!

"We gotta do something," Kane shouts, stating the obvious while eating the dirt from the horses in front of him. Straining to hear what Dirt is on about, he finally realizes what the man's intentions are.

"Don't do it, Dirt. Don't do it!"

"You got a soft spot for me, Kane? Just about melts my heart!" he says, but his mind is set! He brings Blossom up along side the train, pulls a pistol and gets ready to try make the jump!

Turner is barely able to keep up as the horses thunder along, and he watches with concern as Briggs prepares for the leap!

Galloping beside the moving train, Briggs chooses his spot, and leaps.

Allright, Briggs, are you attempting to grab the ladder on the back of the train, or jump between the cars?
If the latter, which two cars is it between? <(ENGINE) (COALCAR) (SLEEPERCAR1) (SLEEPERCAR2) (FREIGHTCAR)

Athletics test, again at -2 because of the galloping and moving target.

Victor grits his teeth when it becomes evident that Dirt will attempt to jump onto the moving train. It also means he'll have to attempt to do it himself.

"Huagh!" the man heaves, as he gets himself up, and then jumps off the horse! He reaches for the safety of the cars on either side!

Briggs makes the leap balancing on the connector between the freight car and the next one. There are doors between them, so you could open the freight car or the sleeper car. Or climb onto the roof. Or help the next train jumper.

Dirt finds purchase on the train car, and then hangs his body back out into the night!

"Come on now! I’ll pull you in!" he promises, as he extends a hand towards the next closest person!

Next person jumping also needs to succeed at an Athletics check, but no -2 due to Briggs' help.

Ruby goes next as she is already riding as a passenger. She waits for Kane to pull within arm's reach of Dirt and stands in the stirrups. She places one foot on the horses back and leaps for the train and Dirt's hand.

"That’s it!" Dirt calls, heaving Ruby up and then in behind him on the train.

"Now you watch and make sure no one sneaks up on us!" he says, before turning back to the chasing riders.

"Give them horses a rest now, come on!" he says, throwing his hand out again!

Reverend Turner spurs dead John Jacobs's horse forward after Ruby Reyes is safely aboard, and the man has the time and wherewithal to utter a quick prayer after seeing a flash of the woman's well-formed legs during her leap. After that, it's all he can do to match pace with the train, and as he closes in towards Briggs the sound and fury of the flashing train wheels, right beneath him, are all the man can hear.

"Give me strength, Jesus!" the man says as he stands in the stirrups, then sort of falls towards Dirt!

There's a flurry of movement and no small amount of pain, but quick as that Turner miraculously find himself aboard. "Praise the Lord! God the Almighty above has chosen my path!" he says loudly from his new perch, before Dirt hurries him away to make room for Kane.

Sorry to lose his horse, Kane counts to himself and on a count of five he will jump.

His head bobs to his counting as he swings his leg over the pommel, grabs onto a railing and Dirt's hand and attempts to hoist his self up.

"Well hells bells, we made it!" he declares.

The four of you are balanced on the hitch between cars. One misstep and you're down and under the wheels of the freight car.

Where next? Into the windowless sleeping car, or back into that freight car. Somewhere a whole passel of nasty vampires waits. Somewhere, a herd of captives from the town.

Holding on for dear life, trying to get the dead near-Marshal's shotgun situated so that he can use it to hunt vampires, Reverend Turner begins a prayer as deliberations begin.

"God of all that we see, and all that we don't! Protect us, God! From the fangs and the talons of these graveborn abominations! Lend us your strength, oh Lord, so that we may do your will and excise them from this Earth!"

He goes on from there, his voice barely audible over the clatter of the wheels and the roar of the engine...
