Chapter 1: The Adventure Begins

Slightly surprised, Charun is uncertain whether to accept it or not and explains. Thanks, but . . . um, well you see I used to be with the Perch Guard. I'm not exactly the best at pretenses and deception. So what if someone know my history sees me with this? Wouldn't this be better with you? He continues to explain knows it may be useful but is not sure about when or how best to use it.
If the others want him to take it he will place it on his hip at the back so the pommel can be reached but is not normally visible.

Charun will prepare to rest. Same drill as before, find a good spot and settle down. He will try to ensure, without being obvious about it that whomever is on watch needs to keep an eye on the merchant as well as the surrounding.

Leif took up first watch, making the occasional walk around the perimeter as he did so.

Hurin will again take the second watch. He'll spend some of his time in meditation and the rest chatting up the merchant. Catching Charun's hints, he will make sure to keep a close eye on her during the night.

Eliza sleeps through the night but does wake up early. If anyone is awake you can see her opening her cart, checking its hinges and wheels. Adjusting the goods on display and then putting it back together.

She is a chatty sort and will give her life story if asked

The third watch is the Sherry's. Also a chatty person herself, the mapach girl spends her time near Eliza and listens to the cat-person's life story. Helping her with the heavy stuff and a bit curious what it is the merchant is selling.

Charun is last at watch and stays Vigilant until the others are up. He will save for questions for while they travel.

Eliza is an open book talking about her time growing up in the far west mountainous regions with her parents, growing up in a merchant family she would travel the continent with them as she got older. She often would visit her cousin and their family in Alderheart. Now an adult and a merchant in her own right, her cousin had recently passed away due to bad health and she is taking over the family business in Alderheart.

When asked about what she has to sell she would respond In my cart I don't have much of anything too special but feel free to let me know if there is anything you want? Though the shop in Alderheart is full of all sorts of curiosities.

With the prospect of reaching a settlement with a Perch guard detachment Charun is eager to set out and helps clean camp before setting out.

Charun asks Eliza about her travels abroad, the other people's she has met it knows of, how her family arrived in Alderheart, and of any recent news she is aware of.

While walking Eliza will tell the story of her family in greater depths. They are apart of essentially a merchant dynasty in the west, her family came this way to expand. As for people she has met, she mostly talk of other traders and merchants she knows, A few adventures but nothing of note. She is aware of the recent struggles of the Wood with fires and bandits but nothing your party doesn't know.


You will notice as you travel the woods and Grasslands slowly transition to more swamp like in nature and you start seeing signs that you are approaching Winnowing Reach
