"That was *not* my fault," Krisanna says in a half-whisper, eyes still on the nest.

You gather what you need to "smoke them out".

Elaria causes a a spark from her hand to light the material.
OOC:
Browyn must make a beastlore roll to effectively drive them out as he understands their nature the best.
May 19, 2024 6:03 am
Browyn helped in giving directions about where to set the fire to concentrate the smoke under the bats. Being the only exist from where they have entered, the smoke as well as the bats will probably leave through there.

OOC: Pushing the roll. Marking condition sickly, all the smoke has entered Browyn's nostrils and made him cough and suffocate.

You set the fires and the smoke does direct many of the bats out but about half of them head in your direction.

They are disoriented and that give you a chance to get rid of them before they come after you.
OOC:
You all gain initiative as they as a mass begin to swirl around you.

Coughing, his eyes watering as he waves away some of the smoke, Lothar raises his sword and shield as he wades into the fray. Swiping and slashing, he tries to kill as many of the things as he can before they begin their attack!

"Whose bright idear was lighting a fire in an enclosed space?!" he shouts as he attacks -- and finds the bats difficult, agile foes!
OOC:
Pushing, taking Angry as a Condition.

Browyn coughed from the smoke but dropped to a crouch and crawled to one corner, raising his bow and firing an arrow at one of the approaching bats.

OOC: Wow, a demon. I can finally fail and raise my skill. Shit, I am out of arrow. I hope the party has more arrows?

Krisanna's eyes widen in surprise and dismay as the bats turn out to be significantly more challenging foes than she expected. With lit torch in her off hand, and dagger in main, she takes a slightly defensive posture and begins slashing at any flying rodents who venture too closely.

Rolls

Knives [14] - (d20)

(3) + (5) = 8

As the rest of the party flails around with smoke in their eyes. Krisanna's shorter stature is helpful as she can see clearly and is quick to slash a bunch of the bats making sort work of all but a couple who decide quickly to leave and join the rest of them through the hole in the roof.

Giving a slight cough Elaria says, That didn't go as planned but it seems we are now clear of them.
OOC:
Ok time will now be important. If you search a room it will take time so rounds, stretches and shifts will have to be watched. It will take a stretch usually to search a room. It is now I would say 7AM in the morning as you wanted an early start.
May 22, 2024 6:26 am
OOC: Okay, so I rolled a mishap and lost all my arrows. Do we have extra arrows with us? If not, my bow is unusable. So, I am guessing, I have all these arrows stuck in the wall; Can I like collect some?
May 22, 2024 11:37 am
OOC:
I would posit that perhaps your arrows took the brunt when you fell?
May 22, 2024 12:18 pm
OOC: Man without the arrows, my main weapon is useless. Damn, I should have known.
May 22, 2024 8:06 pm
OOC:
I am going to allow a bushcraft roll to salvage half your arrows.
what is everyone doing now that the threat is gone?
May 23, 2024 2:30 am
OOC:
Have we fully investigated the room yet, listened at the door, checked the corners, etc.?
May 23, 2024 3:45 am
OOC:
You have not checked the room, You did notice that the doors are slightly ajar and there are a lot of footprints and drag marks on the floor.
May 23, 2024 5:41 am
Browyn started collecting whatever sharp arrows he could recover from his previous mishap. While collecting arrows, he looked around, trying to notice the interior of the room carefully.

OOC: Rolling Bushcraft for the arrows and spot hidden to see if there is anything noteworthy in this room.

Rolls

Bushcraft CS12 - (1d20)

(10) = 10

Spot Hidden CS12 - (1d20)

(7) = 7

May 25, 2024 10:51 pm
Browyn successfully finds some arrows he can use and a couple more he found lying in the dirt, the main thing he finds is a is a curved roughly made dagger, similar to one found on the goblin you fought. On its blade is a dark sticky substance along its edge.
May 26, 2024 5:02 am
Browyn collected the arrows and kept them in his quiver. He then inspected the dagger's sticky substance by sniffing it. "More goblin weapons, they surely came through here, no doubt."

OOC: Anything specific I can get about the sticky substance?
