Jathus takes the blow from Glorkus as well as he's able, then flips around and attempts to slide past the ghoul that was behind him. As he returns to his feet, he brings his weapon around and strikes at the creature!

"Don't worry Win, I've got this one while you take down shorty over there!"

Action 1: Tumble Through (Acrobatics vs Ghoul Reflex DC) - If successful, he has panache
Action 2: Confident Finisher (if he has panache) - otherwise, Strike!
Action 3: One for All! (Diplomacy to Prepare Aid for Winona - If it beats DC 24, he gains panache!)

Zani just becomes a whirl of fur and fang as she tries to tear into Glorkus

Perf sends out blades of pure air at his foes. Glorkus takes one across the chest, causing pus to spurt across the floor. The scent is awful, but you've all grown used to it by now.

Winona's trident catches the ghoulish priest in the gut, a brutal follow-up to Perf's spell.

Jathus nimbly rolls past the gob-ghoul, coming to his feet and slashing it across the back of the neck as he regains his feet. The attack is swift and it takes a moment for the ghouls head to fall away from its body.

Winona launches a flurry of attacks, bear teeth and claws coming from all angles, overpowering the small creature with ease.

OOC:

We'll call the fight here. Glorkus only has 12 HP anyway. Whoever gets to it first can decide how this ends!

Perf finishes Glorkus off by using Needle Darts cantrip causing splinters of his Gauntlet of Power to fly out and impale Glorkus' brain and lungs. Seeing the deed done Perf drops his sustained spell uses that action to congratulate the efforts of the party that got us here.

Winona shakes off the gore from her trident and pokes Glorkus a couple times to ensure he's not getting back up.

"I fear for the woman's body, given these depraved abominations. Let us hurry and search for her, or another way deeper."

Jathus wipes the gore from his blade and looks it over with a smirk, "Well done, my friends. They hardly left a mark on us!" He nods, "Onward and farther, then!"

For all his optimism and bravado, Jathus is 30/56hp - anyone able to stitch him up a little?

You don't have to go far to find Nualia's remains now that you are no longer distracted by the ghouls. The wrapped bundle sitting atop the impromptu altar contains Nualia’s disarticulated skeleton, readily identifiable by its left arm: the bones are black and the hand appears as a large talon.

You also find a Wand of Fear on Glorkus' body

"Well, looks like we accomplished our goal. Winona, I dare say you may be the best to offer these remains their due courtesy as we ascend."
Perf picks up the wand Glorkus had. "Anyone mind if I take this?"

"I can not lay her spirit to rest without rest myself, but I'll carry her out of here." With a way eye at the surrounding cave walks as if expecting undead to pour forth, she focuses on the body.

"Your soul escaped beyond the stars, your life has begun anew, your former body is cared for in memory of all those you touched in that life."

She carefully wraps up the remains in the bundle and tucks it against her side under her shield arm.

There is certainly more down here to see, but with your main objective recovered, you head back to the surface with Nualia's remains. You are quickly escorted into Father Zantus' chambers. He stands when you enter and clears a spot on a nearby table for you to place the body, "Thank Desna you've returned," he says quietly, clearly having been worried, "What did you find down there?"

"Ghouls," Jathus says as he swaggers forward, helping to carry Nualia's remains, "dead ones, and deader ones."

"Two sets, including intelligent ghouls, Father Zantus. They claimed to be peaceful and threatened that disturbing them would lead to war. But there were more aggressive ones, including a goblin named Glorkus and the goblin ghouls that obeyed him."

Zantus nods, "As expected then," he says with a sigh, "At least for the most part. You said there were two groups down there and one was... peaceful?"

"Mmm, peaceful in the sense they could have ruthlessly slaughtered us but chose not to, yes. I suppose it is about as good of proof as one can get for such a claim. They did clearly differentiate themselves from the goblin-ghoul and his allies. Wolgur, I believe he called himself - this leader of peaceful ghouls beneath our feet."

"Wolgur asked us to keep their presence a secret and when I refused to tolerate them, he asked for two days to pack their things and leave to find a loathsome feast somewhere else."

That was good thinking on Winona's part as I do not think our odds favored us in a fight between our parties. That Wolgur judged you true to be a woman of her word.
