"That's the one. If we think all this is part of a plan, order is probably important.

"Sounds good. Going forward, we should leave nothing behind. Let's go."

"So to the stone skull than!" - Zean smiled having now a clear aim for his steps.

"I think we maybe could try to use the swords to block the skull's mouth?" - Zean asked himself and everyone around in the same time. Then he went to propeller corridor and took all swords again, and walked to stone skull and started to check if he could put swords vertically in the skull mouth, so that it will be blocked even for a second, so it would provide some more time to provide an opportunity to exit the mouth in case it would start to close. Meanwhile by doing so, he checks again carefully the skull for some additional details? Are there any paintings or carvings inside the mouth?
OOC:
Maybe "not the best idea", but have no other right now:) Beside - as far as I remember - there was some kind of magic aura around the skull? Does it mean that Zean could cast dispel magic on it? And remove whatever effects it has by this ?

OOC:
How big is the stone skull?
"Hmm... I wonder if I could reduce the skull and we could just let it fall out of the wall."
May 14, 2024 1:27 pm
OOC:
Vertically stone skull take all 8 feet of the corridor but only half of the wall width ( so let's say 5 feet wide) It is build into the wall and as a spell caster who knows about your spell limitations you know that most probably it will not be possible to change the size of this object, because the spell has no force to break object out of it's location it is fixed into and it can't reduce object if it has something inside it, for example you can't reduce barrel full of water, but can reduce it if empty it's content (or there is less than 1/8 of water inside).

Slab block you reduced first time were not connected anywhere - there were only a magic that would have lifted it for you if you would solve that encounter properly

OOC:
Cool, thanks.
I examine the stone skull more closely.

"I don't think that would work. Bummer."
May 14, 2024 4:24 pm
Throgin will look at the stone skulls examining weak spots and or anything that would allow it to be broken

Rolls

Investigation - (1d20-1)

(16) - 1 = 15

OOC:
I would ask Throgin and Tinkara to roll perception, but Zean's passive perception cover this already, so this is what you all are able to figure out
The skull's jaws are opened to make a hole barely enough for medium size creature to climb through. Sword longer dagger would probably fit, but make it impossible for person tho get past it.

Stone skull looks solid and dense. Breaking through would be just as easy as break through the wall.

Although Zean find no paintings or carvings he does notes that the lower jaw is hinged. A stout object jammed into the skull jaw's hinge may probably hold it open.
May 14, 2024 6:02 pm
Throgin takes a handaxe and tries to jam the skull's hinge.
May 14, 2024 6:10 pm
Looks like it is jammed.
OOC:
What next?
May 14, 2024 6:18 pm
Tinkara makes a hesitant face.

"If you're sure it's jammed, I'll go through and take a look in the room. Not intending to touch anything though."

OOC:
still waiting for any player to announce any action. Meanwhile I can share what you can see inside the tomb - now as next to the skull you get a perfect view inside.
[ +- ] MAP
Skulls crusted with dried mud glower from niches cut into the walls of this tomb. A stone sarcophagus stands at the center of the chamber, its lid adorned with a coiled serpent carved in relief. Behind the sarcophagus, resting atop a marble pedestal, is an ornate crystal box with a small humanoid skull floating inside it.
A maze of tiny passages is cut into the walls beyond the niches. Passages are too narrow for Medium and larger creatures to enter, and Small creatures must squeeze to traverse them.
[ +- ] Squeezing into a Smaller Space

I sign, resigned. "Well, we have to do something eventually."

I fly in through the hole, being careful not to touch anything, and I'll fly around the chamber to examine things more closely.
OOC:
Am I flying with my eyes closed? LOL!

With the jaws lodged, Throgin will try and get into the chamber himself and look around

Rolls

OOC:
You can't fly through, you can only crawl through the mouth is too narrow. You will be touching the skull while crawling through. You can certainly fly again once inside
@thorsman99 please confirm you still want Tinkara to be first to crawl through
May 15, 2024 7:08 pm
OOC:
Yes, she'll go first.
"Throgin sweetie, I'm going first, because I can fly once I'm in there and be less likely to set things off."
May 15, 2024 7:45 pm
Once Tinkara climbs through the skull's jaws, the flames in one (of the two) it's eye sockets snuffs out. But the jaws don't move
OOC:
@valdattaMadun just double checking - do you still climb through after seeing the effect?
GreyWord sent a note to thorsman99
May 15, 2024 7:50 pm
Throgin will wait by the entrance after seeing the effect
May 15, 2024 8:50 pm
"One in, one light goes out. One out, the other light goes out then chomp?" Ixion posited. "We'd better stay put until Tink comes back out to see what happens to the last flame.
