As Zean only is seeing Throgin moving around the chamber, and don't know about any new things, he waits patiently for any new information from his friends.
OOC:
And as player I also don't have problem with that. Just take your time. One thing only: I think the NEWLY appeared button on the sarcophagus could be important for this.

"Throgin sweetie... I don't think you can break this. Where's the button?"
Jun 10, 2024 4:22 pm
In one of the chests, the black one on a rod. Here let me get it. There are also some keys coming in the chests. And Throgin walks up to the chest and pulls out the rod.
Jun 10, 2024 4:34 pm
You get it with ease.
Jun 10, 2024 5:38 pm
Maybe if I press? Throgin then presses the button.
OOC:
big bucks no whammies
Jun 10, 2024 5:44 pm
I cringe, suddenly glad I'm inside an iron chest, and not outside with Throgin.
Jun 10, 2024 8:32 pm
Nothing happens as Throgin press the button. But a moment later he feel like someone invisible is holding the rod and would let Throgin move it. Throgin isn't used for someone to be stringer that him and try to move it as strong as he can, but rod does not move. That someone is just way too strong.
Jun 10, 2024 8:42 pm
Uhhhh what is this! Throgin will pull on in harder and harder trying to get it to move. After awhile he will let go and step back a little and just scream at it.
Jun 10, 2024 8:43 pm
Rod stay in the air where it last was and is not intimidated by the scream
Jun 10, 2024 9:04 pm
Tink the button didn't do anything...the rod is now floating or something and I can't move it at all. Must be some kind of magic
OOC:
I guess just trying to understand what is going on?

I look around the lid seam to see if there is even a tiny gap where I can see out...

Rolls

Investigation - (1d20)

There is no visible gap
Throgin can not conclude any better than it must be a magic
Jun 11, 2024 11:22 am
"Throgin, that's probably not the mechanism we need. Are there any other buttons, levers, catches that you can see?"
Jun 11, 2024 1:08 pm
hmm another button on the sarco..sarcough....casket Throgin will walk over to that one and yell to Tink press this one?
Jun 11, 2024 2:18 pm
"If you can get down there safely, I think it's worth a try. Maybe you could tie a rope around this chest and climb down there?"
Jun 11, 2024 4:19 pm
valdattaMadun says:
Throgin will walk over to that one
OOC:
What do you walk over to? As described before sarcophagus is resting in a 20 foot deep pit. You can't walk to it.
Let me know if you would like me to narrate for you how Throgin is using his rope to safely get down into the pit and press the button already
Jun 11, 2024 7:11 pm
Throgin will find a secure space for his rope to tie into and go down the pit to the sarcophagus

You guys out there start thinking of a way in if this goes wrong.
Jun 11, 2024 7:20 pm
Throgin do find it: Tinkara's suggestion to tie a rope around a chest turns into a perfect solution. The chest don't move an inch and he climbs down with an ease
OOC:
As always climbing down with rope is a DC 5 climbing up DC 10 and with Throgin modifier +8 no roll required to get down
Jun 11, 2024 7:33 pm
Throgin will push the button
Jun 11, 2024 8:14 pm
The button pushed by Throgin stay in pushed position, but he notice nothing else happening

Tinkara meanwhile hear the clumps snap open. She can now turn the key back open to unlock the chest. When she open the chest the clamps snap shut once more, but she is finally out of the box.
